    Chiba Pref. Minamibousoushi Tomiurachoutadara 1212-29
    This nature park on the Taibusa Cape is part of Minamiboso Quasi-National Park. Its facilities include a visitor center, an exercise field, a lookout, walking paths, and a campground, as well as Hotel & Resorts Minamiboso and the Taibusa Cape Nature Center. The site was once an army fortress and an important point of defense, and traces of that history remain today.

    小高い丘から東京湾を眺めることのできる、気持ちの良い場所です。展望台や展望台が設置されており、家族連れで訪れている人がたくさんいました。ただ、塩の関係で遊泳はできません。

    This strawberry farm is located within JA-Awa Tateno Branch along Highway Route 128 (Sotobo-Kuroshio Line) in Yamamoto, Tateyama City. They grow “beni hoppe” and “akihime” varieties of strawberry. From January to early May, you can try all-you-can-eat strawberry-picking for 30 minutes.

    南房総の道の駅で見つけたチラシに100円引きとあったので、立ち寄って見ました。 受付から徒歩1-2分の9番のビニールハウスが目的地。到着すると練乳の入ったプラスチックの箱を渡されます。ハウス内はロープで本日可能なイチゴの棚が仕切られています。紅ほっぺのみのビニールハウスでしたが、粒も大きくて練乳無しでも十分美味しかったです。入場料分は食べようと思ったものの無理でした。

    Aloha Garden Tateyama, where visitors can enjoy time with the animals in the plaza, is the biggest zoo and botanical gardens in the prefecture. Visitors can enjoy Hawaiian shows on the special stage and Hawaiian food not available anywhere else. There is also a market and Hawaiian shop which gives the place a really tropical feel.

    This semi-island located south of Tateyama bay is part of the natural area designated as Minami Boso Quasi-National Park. An uninhabited area of rock and sand beaches, it’s about one kilometer around, and hosts a unique ecosystem of seaside flora and fauna. You can observe all kinds of coastal plant life, like copses of Japanese cinnamon and giant bay trees, as well as cobra lily Urashima, spider lilies and canavalia rosea. The park’s coral reef is at the northernmost limit for such features, and is a popular snorkeling spot.

    A strawberry farm along the Boso Flower Line in Shirahama, Shirahama-cho, Minamiboso City. They grow four different flavors of strawberries, Oi-C Berries, Akihime, Benihoppe, and Kaorino, and you can enjoy 30-minute all-you-can-eat strawberry picking from mid-December to May. Elevated growing beds and a barrier free design greenhouse makes it easily accessible for baby strollers and those in wheelchairs.

    最近主流の腰高の栽培方式なのでかがまなくてイチゴを摘めます。千葉ベリー目当てに伺いました。やはり陽の光をたくさん浴びたイチゴは甘くて最高です!

    This complex facility located along the Tateyama Bypass has restaurants and souvenir shops. With the local fish kaiten-zushi (conveyor belt sushi) restaurant Yamadenmaru, local kaisen-don (seafood rice bowl) shop Bangoya Honten, and the all-you-can-eat hama-yaki (seafood grilled soon after catching) restaurant Ichiba Shokudo Amagoya, you can taste the bounty from the sea of Minamiboso. The souvenir shop sells specialty goods and original products, in addition to fresh fish, processed seafood goods and fresh local agricultural products.

    A park located on the site of a castle which once belonged to the Satomi clan during Japan’s Warring States period. Visitors can come in contact with history while strolling the grounds; the Tateyama City Museum is located in the park, as well as a recreation of Tateyama Castle (which also operates as the Hakkenden Museum) and a traditional Japanese landscape garden outfitted with a pond and stream. This verdant park is also renowned as a destination for enjoying flowers, including camellias, azaleas, cherry trees, and Japanese apricots.

    The marine environment around this beach in Minami Boso Quasi-National Park is known as the northernmost extent of coral’s range. The reef stretches from the shore to Okinoshima Island. It is incredibly popular with people of all ages, and families in particular. A beachside clubhouse opens during the swimming season when it’s packed with beach goers. Because the sea water is very clear and clean, you can also enjoy snorkeling.

It also holds a firework display and a flamenco festival, and it bustles with visitors all year.

In addition, it is also known as a place where you can see the Diamond Fuji phenomenon with the evening sun sets into the summit of Mt. Fuji twice a year in May and early August.

    "Chikura Orange Center is an orchard that grows Satsuma mandarins, amanatsu, hassaku oranges, kiyomi, yuzu, kumquats, and other citrus fruits. In addition to the ""pick-your-own mandarins"" season, which runs from October to mid February, visitors can enjoy amanatsu and hassaku oranges from February to late April. They can also pick cosmos and narcissus flowers. Chikura Orange Center also serves tea with freshly squeezed lemon to visitors free of charge."

It features an exhibition of items relating to the historic novel ""The Chronicles of the Eight Dog Heroes of the Satomi Clan of Nanso"" by Bakin Kyokutei with its themes of the Satomi clan that ruled the region for about 170 years. Items on display include literature, picture books, color woodblock prints, and more."

In addition, it holds more than 600 exhibits such as maiwai (costume worn to celebrate bumper catches) when there were large hauls and figureheads placed on the bows of Japanese ships. You can enjoy visiting together with easy-to-understand explanations of materials related to marine art.

    野島埼灯台の近くにありますが、けっこう分かりにくい場所にあるので、注意です。 美術館と言うより、民家の1部を改装して、美術館にしたような建物です。

From mid-April to mid-May you can try collecting your own bamboo shoots.
