This stunning and vast aquarium facility boasts 16 areas and the vibrant orca and dolphin shows are popular with adults as well as children. Watch out for the sprays of water during the performances! Be sure to bring a disposable raincoat or vinyl sheet if you don’t want to get wet.

    This popular beach offers a beautiful contrast between the shining blue sea and its fine sand beach. Some say it’s the inspiration behind the children’s song “Moonlit Desert” (Tsuki-no-Sabaku). Statues with a moon motif memorializing the song have been installed on the beach. In addition to a beachside clubhouse in summer, it hosts various events such as fireworks displays and beach volleyball competitions. It gets packed with beach goers at these times.

    "The Coastal Branch of the Natural History Museum and Institute, Chiba, has a permanent exhibit based on four themes: ""The Sea around Boso,"" ""The Many Faces of the Sea,"" ""The Natural Environment around the Museum,"" and ""Let's Play with the Ocean."" There are dioramas the depict the sea, beaches, and tidal flats of Boso along with rotating seasonal exhibits that about the surrounding natural environment. These exhibits bring visitors in close contact with the sea and natural environment around Boso. Occasionally, the museum sponsors nature study session and other outdoor events, as well as holding specimen preparation events and experiential learning sessions at the Ocean Experience Corner."

    入場料200円とお手頃価格の割に、充実した房総の自然を堪能できました。お勧めです。 展示の仕方などは王道ですが、房総半島の地形、自然などがわかりますよ。なお、魚、貝、鳥などの標本が結構ありました。

With extremely clear waters and surprisingly mellow waves from the ocean, this beach has been included in both Japan’s Top 88 Baths and Japan’s Top 100 Baths, and what’s more, is one of Japan’s Top 100 Beaches thanks to its beautiful view. Several times a year you can see the beach connected to Watashima Island—normally floating in the bay—at low tide.

    This car camping campground is in Katsuura City. In addition to tent sites, they have log cabins and lodges, and they provide wood for your campfire. It's run by the adjacent Katsuura Tsuruntsurun Onsen, which is the only hot spring in Chiba Prefecture designated among the Famous 100 Hot Springs Selected by Thermalism Doctors. A soak there is thought to ease nerve pain and skin diseases.

    冬の時期でも温泉があるため全然問題なし、薪は無料で使う事ができる、衛生面も問題ない、何よりも温泉がGOODでした。

    This park is in Hamakatsuura, Katsuura City. Situated on Cape Hachiman, the east side of Katsuura Bay, this park was reconstructed on the site of the former ruins of Katsuura Castle. This land, overlooking the pacific ocean and Katsuura Bay has an observation square, walking paths, an athletic obstacle course, and a statue commemorating Omanno Kata, who was a mistress to Tokugawa Ieyasu, and the grandmother of Mito Mitsukuni.

    Ohara Beach is a popular swimming beach that stretches for about 300 meters along the Hiariura Beach. Since the water is shallow for quite a distance from shore and the waves are gentle, it is a popular recreation area for families. Showers, toilet facilities, and parking lots are available, and the beach attracts lively crowds in the summer. The beach is also famous as a good place to see the sun rise on New Year's Day due to the sweeping view of the Pacific Ocean.

    大原海水浴場に行ってみた。  勝浦ホテル三日月ピアノ弾いてみてからの すると、、くるまのキーが。。 ありました。。  駐車場にくるまは入れない感じでしたけど、 これがかえって、、 駐車場でラジコン遊んだり、、  泳ぎを楽しんでいるひとがいたりと、、 意外に楽しめるんやねん。。 やっぱり、大原は穴場やーーー。

    Katsuura Undersea Park 's centerpiece is its marine observatory. Located 60 meters off the coast, it rises about 24 meters above the water and descends 8 meters deep. Head below the surface to observe sea creatures and the ocean floor. Other park facilities include a museum with exhibits on marine life and the fishing industry, a gift shop with seafood and souvenirs, and a restaurant with a view of the sea.

    "The terraced rice paddies at the foot of Mt. Daisen, which runs west from downtown Kamogawa, are known as the closest village of terraced rice paddies from Tokyo. 375 terraced rice paddies covering an area of about 3 hectares have been selected as one of the ""100 best terraced rice paddies in Japan"" and offer an original Japanese landscape. The rice terrace café is located next to the rice paddies and serves the famous ""Chicco Rice Burger."

    休日の午後 棚田見学の後 コーヒーを飲みながら棚田を眺めようと30段ぐらいある階段を上がりテラスを抜けて入口に着くと 本日貸切の為一般の方はご遠慮ください の貼紙 階段下の立て看板に貸し切りの表示は無かった 店内 客もスタッフもいない 嫌がらせのように感じた

    A park along the coast of Onjuku, Chiba Prefecture named after the children’s song “Tsukinosbaku” by Masao Kato, a poet and lyrical painter active in the 1910s and 20s. Statues of the prince and princess from the song riding camels stand in the park. The Tsukinosabaku Memorial Museum is next to the park and contains displays presenting the works of Kato in addition writers and artists affiliated with Onjuku. The museum also serves tourist information of Onjuku.

    Maehara Beach is located along the Maebara-Yokosuka Beach, chosen as one of 'Japan's Top 100 Nagisa (beach) and the largest beach in the city. There is a colonnade of palm trees and the park pedestrian path known as a beach-side promenade stretching along the beach for a kilometer, making this stretch of sand popular for its tropical atmosphere. Every year on July 29, Kamogawa City Kamogawa Fireworks Festival is held, and spectators enjoy the sight of fireworks bursting over the water.
