An aquarium park with animal performances and displays recreating natural habitats where you can come in contact with the ocean and learn the importance of the environment in which its creatures live. This stunning and vast aquarium facility boasts 16 areas and the vibrant orca and dolphin shows are popular with adults as well as children. Watch out for the sprays of water during the performances! Be sure to bring a disposable raincoat or vinyl sheet if you don’t want to get wet.

I always visit zoo and Sea World in many places. More than getting knowledge, I wish the fee I pay will help the places having income to take good care of the animals they have and help in...

"Kiyomizu-dera Temple is located near Otowa no Mori Park in Kamone, Misaki-cho, in the city of Isumi. It has long history, having been built in 807 by Sakanoue no Tamuramaro. Its principal votive figure is the Thousand-Armed Kannon, and this temple is the 32nd of the 33 places sacred to the bodhisattva Kannon in Bando (the old name for the Kanto Region). Within the precincts are sculptures of the 47 samurai of the Ako domain whose plot to avenge their lord was immortalized in the play ""Chushingura."""

I just went up out of curiosity and was completely bowled over by the atmosphere. Getting up to the temple is a hard, steep walk. Dont forget to pick up a stick to lean on! Theyre down at the...

This history museum’s permanent exhibition focuses on Boso’s castle and its castle town, both in the medieval era and in recent times. The museum exhibits artifacts related to it, like armor, antique equipment, and ancient documents, as well as materials on life in samurai society and the castle town. Since Honda Tadakatsu was once the castle’s lord, it was built on the famous Otaki ruins of the Kazusa clan’s inner citadel (Tadakatsu was one of the four generals that served Tokugawa Ieyasu).

Ootaki is an old castle town that was ruled by Katsuie Honda, a prominent subordinate of Ieyasu Tokugawa in the late 16th century. The township has preserved many of its Edo period merchant houses...

Popular with people travelling on the train, lunch boxes can be booked up to 13:00, two days in advance for Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Marufuji is located inside Shiosai Marketplace along the Sotobo Kuroshio Line. It provides sushi made from freshly caught fish from the local fishing port at a reasonable price. In addition to fish, customers can choose sushi made with broiled wagyu beef or whale meat. The itamae (sushi makers) also serve other dishes made with local fish and whale meat, and customers can also try such examples of fisherman's cuisine as Namero (minced fish mixed with seasonings).

The Tekka Don (a bowl of rice topped with marinated tuna sashimi), which has the tuna spread out elegantly like the petals of a flower, is especially popular.

This sightseeing boat lets you get a good look at the tai red sea bream in “Tainoura Tai Habitat” —a Special Natural Monument. Open every day of the year. One fun trip is about 25 minutes. About five minutes southeast through the Uchiura Bay from the ferry port near Tanjo-ji Temple, there is a narrow region of water where the sea bream live in the shallows 10-30 meters down. You may even see them eating up the food that people throw in to them.

This observatory is in Kaisuka, Kamogawa City. At about 110 meters above sea level, it has great views of the Kamogawa City nightscape and sunrise over the Pacific Ocean. The name Uomizuka comes from fishermen who once watched for schools of fish from there. Gyofu, the statue of the goddess on the top, is the observatory's symbol.

Established in 1954, Ezawa is the birthplace of Katsuura style dandan noodles. With its soy-sauce based broth, original rayu chili oil, and flavorful toppings, these satisfying noodles are rich and spicy. The shop closes when it runs out of broth, so be sure to come early!

Kodama Family Restaurant was founded in 1965 and is operated by a butcher shop. In addition to noodles, it serves a wide variety of rice dishes and prix fixe meals. It is famous for its cheap, delicious, and generously portioned Dandan Noodles, and its Katsu Raisu (pork cutlet on rice) and Yakiniku Raisu (grilled meat on rice) are also recommended. The broth for the Dandan Noodles is bright red, but it is not all that spicy. Instead, it is slightly sweet with a rich, savory flavor.

Their menu changes with the seasons and offers a variety of fare including Japanese spiny lobster tempura on rice and other rice bowls, sashimi, simmered fish meal sets, and hotpots with locally harvested clams.
