    Chiba Pref. Kamogawashi Kaisuka 3277
This observatory is in Kaisuka, Kamogawa City. At about 110 meters above sea level, it has great views of the Kamogawa City nightscape and sunrise over the Pacific Ocean. The name Uomizuka comes from fishermen who once watched for schools of fish from there. Gyofu, the statue of the goddess on the top, is the observatory's symbol.

The wind was strong and waves were big but the view would be very nice if the weather permited. You also can go into this underwater observatory and see underwater through windows in the wall...

An observatory situated on the sheer, 60-meter high cliffs at the western end of Byobugaura. Commanding a view of the Pacific Ocean and Kujukuri Beach, the observatory is famous not only for its sunrises and sunsets but also its nightscape scenery. There is also an observatory space and free binoculars on the third floor of the observation deck, while the second floor is a panoramic museum which contains exhibits such as photographs and materials on the plant and animal life in the area.

This lookout platform is located in Tennodai in Choshi City. It sits atop the peak of Mt. Atagoyama—the tallest in the northeastern part of the prefecture—and it offers 360-degree panoramic view, 330 degrees taken up by an oceanic horizon. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Fuji, Mt. Tsukuba, as well as the electricity-generating windmills along Byobugaura Coast, and they say you can feel the curvature of the earth. There are retail shops, event areas, and a café corner, all with great views.

It took me 20-25 minutes from Inubo Station to climb up the hill to reach this place though Information I have says 15 minutes. Access by public transportation is very bad. Very few visitors despite...

Chiba Areas

The Boso Peninsula forms the main body of Chiba prefecture, and this is where you’ll find its endless warm water beaches and jagged mountains. Further inland, Narita - most famous as the home of Narita Airport - is a secret haven of tradition and history in the form of centuries-old Shinshoji Temple and quaint wooden Edo buildings. Chiba prefecture is also home to both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.
