    This eel vendor is near the main gate of Naritasan Shinshoji Temple. They roast kyosui eel raised in the Oigawa River, fed by water from the Southern Japan Alps, over binchotan charcoal, brushed with a secret sauce made with fine varieties of soy sauce and mirin cooking sake. Dishes include eel served marinated on rice, kabayaki style, and shirayaki style. Other cuisine features carp and suigo (riverside district) fowl.

    Ate here with family (party of 5) on a Monday. They open at 11am on weekdays but was told my restaurant staff to line up by 10:15am if you want to be the first ones seated. They start handing out...

    A Japanese restaurant located along the Omotesando (temple approach) to Narita-san Shinsho-ji Temple in Nakamachi, Narita City. The restaurant serves all sorts of set meals, formal meals, individual dishes and course meals, as well as unagi-ju and unagi-don (types of eel on rice dishes) using domestically sourced eel and naturally sourced eel on rice depending on the season. The restaurant has honorably received the Imperial chrysanthemum emblem from Shinsho-ji Temple which has been used as the current restaurant name since from at least the Tenpo period.

    Yahataya is a restaurant serving Japanese cuisine that is located on Prefectural Route 14 in the Uruido district of Ichihara City. The menu at Yahataya includes Unaju (broiled eel with rice, served in a box) made using two of the most famous Japanese eel varieties—Oigawa River Kyosui Eel, and Tonegawa-River Bando Taro Eel—as well as sushi, seafood don (seafood on rice), tempura, steak and other meat dishes, Fugu (pufferfish) cuisine, etc. There is also a banquet hall seating up to 100 people, making Yahataya an ideal venue for banquets etc.

    平日のランチタイムに伺いました。 13時過ぎでしたが結構混んでいました。 広い店内で座敷かテーブルを選べます。 広い座敷に通して貰いました。 お刺身１人前と魚あら煮を頂きました。 あら煮はブリで脂がのってました。 刺身もボリューミー。 美味しく頂きました。

    篠籠田西光院の近くにあります。ウナギを食べたく行きました。ウナギ（特上・上）と2種類と変わっていました。座敷もテーブル椅子になっていて、座るのではなく楽でした。久しぶりに特上を注文、柔らかくフワフワ・トロトロでとても美味しかったです。それに生ビール・・最高でした。

    印旛沼周辺ばかりでなく千葉の海岸沿いでも何軒かうなぎ屋さんがあります。この店はうなぎ以外のメニューもあってカジュアルに楽しめました。
