    The collection at Chiba City Museum of Art focuses on works by artists with a close connection to the Boso Peninsula and paintings of scenes from the Boso Peninsula. Its collection includes paintings from the Edo period (1603?1868), woodblock prints from the Edo through early Showa periods (1926?1989), and Japanese and Western modern art. It has no permanent exhibits but instead sponsors rotating exhibitions and exhibitions of its holdings, lectures, and workshops. The museum is housed in the remodeled and restored Chiba branch of Kawasaki Bank and shares the building with the ward office of Chuo-ku. There is also a restaurant and a library in the building.

    Not a grand gallery but provide a good glimpse of works from local artists. The set up is nice and is worth a visit if you are in the area. The very friendly atmosphere made me feeling welcome...

    The Sakura City Museum of Art contains a good collection of literary works with some connection to Sakura or Boso Area, and maintains exhibits that feature modern Japanese art which extend those works. It was built in order to preserve and utilize the old Kawasaki Bank Sakura Branch (a Prefectural Tangible Cultural Property) built during the Taisho period. There’s also a café inside where you can enjoy a hand-made meal and dessert using local ingredients.

    1994年に開館。江戸時代に文武芸術を奨励した佐倉藩11万石の城下町として栄えた中心地に位置し、大正7年に建てられたレンガ造りの旧川崎銀行佐倉支店（千葉県指定有形文化財）の保存と活用を考慮して建設された。

Designed in three stories, one above ground, two below, the layered galleries are long corridors, with a section of the building appearing to float in air. Reservations are recommended for the very popular Italian cuisine restaurant Hanau located inside the museum.

    "Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art is located in Chiba Port Park. Its collection is centered on artists who have a connection with Chiba Prefecture and materials related to them. Its 2,800-piece collection includes paintings by such artists as the early modern Japanese Western-style painter Chu Asai, Jean-Francois Millet, and Pierre- Auguste Renoir, along with the works of metal sculptors such as Hotsuma Katori and Shinobu Tsuda. The one-story architecture, with no entire differences in level, was designed by architect Masato Otaka. The adjacent ""Resident's Studio"" building contains lecture halls, an information and documents library, and studios."

    千葉みなと駅から徒歩10分。収蔵作品展の観覧料は300円。建物は低層で、外壁には赤いレンガタイルが使用されている。コロー、ミレー、ルノワールなどの有名画家の作品もあるが、千葉県にゆかりのある芸術家の作品を中心に展示している。

    The Ichihara Lakeside Museum underwent renewal and re-opened in 2013. It is an extremely charming art museum that makes great use of its location on the coast of Lake Takataki. First and foremost, the diverse exhibits are endlessly fascinating, but you will also find a museum shop with an array of local Ichihara products and original goods with the museum logo. And you can enjoy a great pizza restaurant that uses mainly ingredients from Boso.

    湖のほとりにあり、景色がよい。館内だけでなく、屋外展示も面白い。湖畔には桜が多く植えられ、桜の時期にはゆっくりと歩くのもよい。

    The Kanaya Art Museum is located along the Uchibo-Nagisa Line in Kanaya, Futtsu City. The museum was opened in 2010 as part of the efforts to rejuvenate the town under the slogan of “Kanaya, the town of stone and art”. As well as various exhibitions on works donated by art lovers and loaned pieces of work, the museum also holds events like concerts, etc. Admission fees vary from exhibition to exhibition, but visitors can get tickets by participating in local activities such as clean-ups and grass cutting, etc. (booking required at least one day in advance).

    友人の作品展があったので訪問です。金谷から鋸山美術館に名前を変更ということだけれども、まだ変更していません。 なぜかと尋ねたら、ロゴがまだできていないんだとか・・・・ こじんまりの美術館で、庭の作品もきれいです。

You can enjoy visiting together with easy-to-understand explanations of materials related to marine art.

    野島埼灯台の近くにありますが、けっこう分かりにくい場所にあるので、注意です。 美術館と言うより、民家の1部を改装して、美術館にしたような建物です。

    どのように努力して収集できたのか想像すら出来ませんが、稀有なコレクションを一般に公開しています。大平の世となり、銃砲や空中戦へ変化し、実用品ではなく装飾性が高まり、剣術もほぼ使う場が無くなっていますが、輝きは継承されているようです。

    東急ハーベストクラブやかんぽの宿に近い緑豊かな環境にある美術館です。東京に有ったものを移転オープンしたのだそうで、きれいな建物が印象的でした。江戸時代からの絵画や陶磁器、漆器など楽しめますが料金が少々高かったです。
