    Saitama Pref. Hikigunnamegawamachi Yamata 1920
    Japan’s first National Park. It was created as part of the centennial celebration of the Meiji Restoration. Roughly three million square meters in size—enough to fit about sixty-five Tokyo Domes—the park includes Japan’s largest air trampoline, a playground, athletic equipment, a barbeque spot, an area for viewing all kinds of plant life, from cherry trees to camellia and plum trees. There is also a cycling course and other facilities. You can enjoy them all regardless of age all day in the park.

    The Koma-jinja Shrine enshrines Komano Jakko, a settler from Kokuri that was a flourishing northern region of the Korean Peninsula. The shrine celebrated its 1300th year since Koma County was established in 2016. The shrine’s cultural artifacts are exhibited with a chosen theme every year in September in the Koma-jinja meeting hall main room.

    A roadside station located in Kubota, Yoshimi Town, Hiki County. The station has a farm fresh shop selling seasonal agricultural products such as fresh vegetables from local farms and strawberries, a Yoshimi specialty product; a yakitori chicken skewer restaurant which also offers skewers made with cheek and temple pork meat, a local delicacy; a ramen restaurant; and a soft serve ice cream shop. There's also a local specialty products shop selling strawberry jams and sweets, a restaurant offering udon noodles made with local flour, and a classroom where you can learn how to make handmade udon noodles (advance reservation required).

    吉見町はいちご栽培が盛んで、子供が遊ぶ遊具なども苺デザインで目をひきました。外には出店、農産物の直売施設もあります。

    A hot spring bathhouse located in Tamagawa, Tokigawa Town, Hiki County. The restaurant's two bathing areas -the Akira no Yu and the Nagomi no Yu-are fed by a hot spring welling up from 1,700 meters underneath the ground. Which area is the men's and which is the women's alternates on a weekly basis. Designed around a retro, Showa-period atmosphere, the bathhouse has a shop selling some 60 varieties of local carbonated beverages, a wood paneled library, and restaurant serving home-style cooking.

    昭和レトロな温泉銭湯の玉川温泉の中にあった食堂です。正面玄関にはオート三輪のダイハツのミゼットが、ディスプレイされていました。お風呂のあとにのんびりくつろげるダイニング。ハムカツや揚げパンなどの、ほっこりする昭和のグルメのメニューが充実していました。柚子カレーを食べました。甘口でしたが、おいしかったです。

The Moomin Mansion, three stories plus a basement, a large, warm, wooden building centered on a fireplace, is a place for excited children to explore. The Forest House is a museum that displays materials about the life of children's author Tove Jansen, and there is a library on the second floor. Near the entrance to the park is a children's theater, popular with children for the musical events and story readings are held.

    A park shaped like a kinchaku (traditional purse/pouch) located on level ground and surrounded by the Koma River in Hidaka City, Saitama Prefecture. In autumn, the park explodes with the blossoms of some 5 million red spider lilies, their scarlet carpet creating a fantastical landscape. Situated amongst a forest of trees, such a vast amount of red spider lilies is found almost nowhere else in Japan. The Aiai Bridge provided for pedestrians to cross the Koma River is the longest wooden truss bridge in Japan.

    A Buddhist temple founded in 751 located in Niihori, Hidaka City. Located on high ground in Komago, an area pioneered by settlers who traveled here from the ancient Korean kingdom of Goguryeo, the temple's principal object of worship is a state of Acala. The temple also enshrines a Buddhist statue of guardian buddha of King of Goryeo, Jako, Nandikesvara. The temple's grounds are outfitted with walking paths and scenic observatories for visitors to enjoy. In spring, a 170-year old higan cherry tree growing on the park's grounds comes into bloom along with various weeping and Yoshino cherries and other flowering trees and plants.

    This museum is in Ogawa Town, Hiki County, Saitama Prefecture. The regular exhibition hall displays examples of Saitama prefecture's traditional crafts, and also offer chances to try your own, including Ogawa's own Ogawa Washi papermaking, mizuhiki paper cord making, and bamboo crafts. They also have special exhibits from various artisans, and in the Kogei Bussankan craft hall, they display and offer authentic pieces of craft for sale.

    Other than golfers and trekkers, most folks who come to Ogawa-machi make their way to the Saitama Traditional Crafts Center. Even the Emperor and Empress have come. Its many things rolled into one...

There are also foot baths, a relaxation room, and retail shop that you can browse while taking in the nice view.

The Danjuro Inari, a subordinate shrine built by kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjuro VII, stands on the shrine's grounds, and parishioners come to this shrine to pray for success and protection in the field of the performing arts."

There's also a company shop, a light meal corner serving dishes made with soy sauce, and a gift shop offering soy sauce pourers and other merchandise. In addition, visitors can purchase a variety of sweets made with soy sauce here like soft serve ice cream, pudding, and roll cakes.

    Located a 10-minute drive from the Higashimatsuyama Interchange or the Ranzan-Ogawa Interchange off the Kan-Etsu Expressway or a 15-minute walk from the Musashiranzan Station on the Tobutojo Line, this museum is located inside the Sugayakan ruins, a nationally designated and one of the continued series of Japan's Top 100 Castles. The exhibits are centered around the introduction to the four locations of the ruins of a medieval castle and a robot impersonating the Kamakura era samurai lord of the castle, Hatakeyama Shigetada, who tells a story of his own history. Various other exhibits are hosted annually along with special tours and history classes offered at specific times.

    日本百名城巡りの一環として初めて行きました。かつての菅谷館跡の中心部に、嵐山史跡博物館があり、スタンプも受付で押せました。せっかくなので展示と映像を見て勉強しました。博物館裏には柱の跡が発掘されていました。

You can see a panoramic view of the lake and surrounding greenery or autumn leaves from the levee. There are leisure facilities such as a canoe workshop, fishing spot and restaurants with an overall view of the natural surroundings, and many tourists visit year-round. Fireflies can be seen in the summer, and an event is held once a year to enjoy them.

    This museum is located in Umehara, Hidaka City. It displays permanent exhibits such as “Soil and Sweat” and “Blessings of the Mountains and Rivers,” as well as exhibitions of folk materials such as tools and daily necessities used in local agriculture, fishing and forestry. In addition, the museum features the “Ancient Koma County Village Diorama” which includes historical artifacts excavated in Koma County, as well as temporary and mini exhibitions.

    巾着田公園から人専用のつり橋を渡ったところにある無料で見学できる博物館です。歴史を展示しており興味深かったです。
