A museum which presents materials and live demonstrations relating to the Chichibu Night Festival, held each year on December 3 and one of the three largest float festivals in Japan. Making use of the latest technologies, the museum recreates the sights and sounds of the festival for visitors to enjoy. Visitors can also see historical materials up close. There’s a souvenir shop on the first floor selling souvenirs related to the festival as well as original museum merchandise.

A facility selling local specialty products which adjoins Chichibu Station in Miyakawa-cho, Chichibu City. Here visitors can purchase local agricultural products and farm foods, sake, confections, Chichibu-Meisen silk, Chichibu tsumugi pongee, and other crafts and local products. The facility's restaurant serves gozen meals made with local vegetables and Chichibu pork; waraji katsudon pork cutlet rice bowls a local Chichibu favorite; soba noodles made with locally grown ingredients; original sweets; and more. The facility also has a training hall and meeting rooms.

秩父鉄道の秩父駅から改札出てすぐ左へ行くと「じばさん商店」です。同じ建物内で直結しています。秩父の名産品がたくさん売っています。いつのまにか、リニューアルしていて、前とは変わってとても見やすくなっていました。売店もできて、座る箇所も増えて、綺麗になっていて利用しやすい施設に変わっています。

This is a museum in Nagatoro, Nagatoro Town, Chichibu County. The museum collects as well as stores and researches natural materials of the area with the theme “from the past to the future, a 300 million year journey of Saitama and the coexistence of people and nature”. There is an earth science exhibition and a biological creature display as a permanent exhibit. Additionally, the museum holds exhibitions on the living biological creatures and minerals in the Saitama Chichibu area.

埼玉県に40年以上住んでますが、子供と初めて訪れました。他県の自然博物館に比べると小振りな博物館でしたが、秩父で発掘された化石から、大昔は海であったことがよく分かります。パレオパラドキシアの化石は大変興味深いです。秩父の自然や成り立ちを学べるので、秩父観光前に訪れると、秩父巡りがより楽しめると思います。

A 10 minute walks from Ashigakubo Station on the Seibu Chichibu Line. Together with the Icicles of Misotsuchi and the Onouchi Hyakkei Icicles, the Icicles of Ashigakubo are considered one of the three most spectacular icicle formations in Chichibuji area. Locals create the icicles by splashing water from a stream onto the side of a mountain, creating a giant, 30 meter tall icicle formation that makes for a stunning sight. Originally around 80 meters wide, today the icicle formation reaches up to 200 meters in width; this magical scene can also be viewed from the windows of passing trains. When in-season, the icicles are lit up with colorful lights from Friday to Sunday as well as on holidays. Handmade amazake sweet sake and black tea, a local specialty, are provided for free (excluding during illumination times).

This temple is located in Shimohinozawa, Minano Town, Chichibu County. The 34th temple on the Chichibu 34 Kannon Pilgrimage, it is also the final temple on the 100 Kannon Pilgrimage along with the Saigoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage and Bando 33 Kannon Pilgrimage. For the Osunafumi (sand stepping) on the grounds of the temple, sand from each of the 100 Kannon temples is gathered here, so by worshipping here, you will receive the divine blessing of having completed the 100 Kannon Pilgrimage.

札所34番の水潜寺さんへ行きました。道路から急な坂を上ると本殿にお参りできます。このお寺さんへ行きたいと思ったのは、本店の天井の絵が素敵だからです。この絵を切ることが出来て良かったです。天井にはたくさんの絵が描かれており、どれも独特で鳥類や動物などが描かれていました。これを拝むことが出来て満足です。また、行きたいと思います。

宝登山ロープウェイ山頂駅から少し歩いたところにある小動物園です。小さい子供が楽しめる観光スポットが少ない秩父エリアでは、貴重な場所です。うさぎと触れ合えたり、猿に餌やりができました。山頂にあるので眺望がよく、ちょっとしたハイキング気分になれました。

Jorin-ji tucked away in a residential area in Sakuragi-machi, Chichibu City is a temple of the Soto School. This historical temple is known as the 17th temple of the Chichibu 34 Kannon Pilgrimage, and it is said that it was the 1st temple in the Chichibu Kannon Pilgrimage Ranking List in 1488 which is a temple treasure in Hosho-ji Temple. In the precinct, there is a Kannon Hall which decorated with fretwork of flowers and birds on ranma openwork, and a rare temple bell (a prefecturally-designated Tangible Cultural Property) on which principal images for 100 holy places in Saigoku, Bando and Chichibu are embossed and goeika (a Buddhism poem) for each stamp office is carved.

This old temple of the Shingi Shingon sect of Buddhism was built to venerate the victims of the Mt. Asama eruption in 1783. It is the only fudasho in Chichibu that still has a fuda-do hall, and it is the sixteenth temple of the Chichibu 34 Kannon Pilgrimage. A peculiar temple in the country, it contains a corridor with replicas of the main statues found in each of the 88 Temples on the Shikoku Pilgrimage. With weeping cherry trees and peonies on the grounds, you’ll find beautiful flowers blooming every spring.

A roadside station located in Mido, Higashichichibu Village, Chichibu County. Facilities include a farm fresh shop selling produce from nearby farms and local specialty products such as Japanese washi paper crafts; a restaurant serving handmade soba and udon noodles; and a food court where visitors can eat oyaki buns and char grilled with salt shioyaki style. There's also a washi paper workshop where visitors can watch washi being made and try making their own washi; another workshop where visitors can learn how to make soba noodles by hand; Japanese-style lodgings; The Furusato Bunka Denshukan building with a gallery, training facility, and exhibits on traditional industries; and a late Edo period washi papermaking factory which was dismantled and moved to the station's grounds.

A ""senbikizaru"" chandelier-like decoration hangs in the temple's Kannondo hall, while water from the Chisuiba spring is said to improve breast milk flow. 岩之上堂は名前の通り崖の上にありますが、駐車場はさらに上にあります。初見が屋根と秩父の山々というビューになるので、ちょっと不思議な感じ。石段を下り、木々が茂る庭を抜け本堂へ。木造の味のある本堂ですが、なかは吊るし雛で溢れています。何かいわれがあるのかな。本堂の前に大きな紅葉の木があったので秋におすすめ。

A museum dedicated to Chichibu-Meisen silk located in Kumagi-machi, Chichibu City. The museum contains examples of antique meisen silk, looms and other production equipment, materials on the history of Chichibu textiles, and old posters. The museum also works pass on the techniques of Chichibu Meisen. Visitors can try katazome stencil dyeing and weaving cloth by hand, or check out the museum shop. The museum's main building and factory building were originally built as the Saitama Prefectural Chichibu Industrial Testing Station in the early Showa period and are designated National Tangible Cultural Properties.

The farm grows more than 10 varieties of strawberries, including Tochiotome and Akahoppe; the farm's original white strawberries have not yet been named. The farm grows its strawberries using raised planters and fully automatic growing systems in seven greenhouses, and, depending on the time of year, visitors can enjoy up to six strawberry varieties. "A Buddhist temple located in Yokoze Town, Chichibu County. Established in 1234, the temple enshrines an eleven faced, seated statue of Kannon known as the ""Mochiyama Kannon"" as well as a statue depicting the Amitabha triad. A huge, 600-year old maple tree designated a Natural Monument by the prefecture stands on the temple's grounds.
