    JURIN’s GEO is a café located near Hashidatedo grounds in Kamikagemori, Chichibu City. The café serves coffee made using beans from coffee farms located all over the world, including beans that have won the prestigious Cup of Excellence awards. JURIN’s GEO also serves ice cream (two flavors from a choice of 22 different flavors), Kakigori (shaved ice) made using Chichibu’s natural spring water, skillet cake, a range of other cakes and puddings, and a range of desserts featuring seasonal ingredients.

    This yokan (red bean jelly) shop is located along National Route 209 in Ogano, Ogano Town, Chichibu County. Their leading product is their “Kodai Chichibu neri yokan.” Ever since the second-generation shop owner produced the recipe for it in Nihonbashi in 1803, they have continued to preserve its unchanged flavor for over 200 years. They sell three kinds: “honneri (kidney bean paste),” “inaka (adzuki bean paste) ” and “yuzu citrus (kidney bean paste).”

    This restaurant is located inside “Roadside Station Washi-no-Sato Higashi-Chichibu” in Mido, Higashi-Chichibu Village, Chichibu County. In addition to offering handmade soba buckwheat and udon noodles, along with seasonal vegetables and tempura, there is also a menu with specials intended for groups (which requires a reservation). They also have a workshop for making soba and udon noodles by hand (reservation required), and you can eat the freshly made soba and udon noodles you made yourself.

    This yokan (red bean jelly) shop is located across from Chichibu City Hall in Kumagi-machi, Chichibu City. Their star product is the “Kodai Chichibu Neri Yokan.” The recipe for it was passed down to their 2nd generation shopkeeper in Nihonbashi in 1803, so the taste and formula have been protected for more than 200 years. It is sold in three different varieties: honneri (kidney bean paste), inaka (azuki bean paste) and yuzu citrus (kidney bean paste)”.

Based on the concept “Cherish the natural features of Chichibu,” they make sweets that incorporates local produce. They sell the “colorful potato series” which is made of Japanese-style sweet potato with Sayama tea and maple syrup from Chichibu, and “Molt cake” which is a castella using egg yolks and “Ichiro’s Molt”, a whiskey distilled in Chichibu.

    シャインマスカットの大福がありました。 季節ごとに違うものがある様で 今の時期だけだそうです。 白あんにシャインマスカットがよく合いました。 家に持ち帰り食べたのですが、形が崩れる事もなく美味しいく、頂けました。 西武秩父駅にも売ってました。

    3月の後半に訪れました。秩父市街から車で30分ほどの山奥にあり、とても空気がきれいでした。一緒に行った人と4種類のジェラートを食べましたがどれもおいしかったです。
