    Hitsujiyama Park is a green land park spread on a hilltop with a panoramic view of Chichibu City, and is known as a flower viewing place for the beautiful cherry blossoms, iris and moss phlox. In the park, moss phlox with more than some 400,000 plants from nine varieties are cultivated over about 17,600 square meters, and red, pink and white moss phlox flowers cover the whole area in spring like a patchwork of flowers. There are a range of facilities such as Fureai bokujo (ranch) where you can pat sheep, a museum for Mt. Buko which is a symbol of Chichibu and an athletics area. Anyone can enjoy the whole day there regardless of their age.

  • Chichibu Muse Park

    This theme park, flourishing with greenery, displays a variety of flowers throughout the year, including cherry blossoms, daffodils and azaleas. In the fall, the three-kilometer long boulevard of Ginkgo trees is a glorious site to see. The park is full of children friendly activities, such as the Skytrain that runs through the park, and the children’s playground obstacles including a tall observatory.

  • Minoyama Park

    This natural park is spread across the solitary mountain (rare in Chichibu) of Mt. Minoyama, at a height of 586 meters. It features roughly 8,000 cherry trees in 70 varieties (mostly Yoshino cherries), as well as number of other flowering plants, like rhododendrons and hydrangeas, making for a colorful display in spring and summer. Famous for its night view and even selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Night Views, the outlook point on the peak offers a gorgeous view of Chichibu Basin and Okuchichibu Mountains. A sea of clouds shows up in early morning, and sometimes stick around to create the mysterious night view. There are no exterior lights, so you will need portable lighting if you come to the park at night.

  • Saitama Midori no Mura

    A spacious park with a man-made stream, expansive grass lawn, and athletic grounds. There’s also tennis courts and a camp ground, and a variety of events are held on Sundays and holidays. Men and women of all ages can also enjoy the park’s seasonal flowering plants and refresh themselves. The Mura Café opened in the park in 2017 serving light meals, it even easier to enjoy a day at the park.

  • Chichibu Railway Park

    This park is located in front of Mitsumineguchi Station in Arakawa Shirahisa, Chichibu City. Opened in 1989 to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the founding of Chichibu Railway, the park exhibits cars from electric locomotives that saw use on Chichibu Railway, among other things. A renewal of the park was carried out in 2019, and cars whose condition had deteriorated were removed from display.
