Saitama Super Arena is used as the site for many concerts and sporting events. Keyaki Hiroba, located adjacent to the arena and stadium, contains a number of cafes, taverns, and other eating and drinking establishments. The Railway Museum is located near Tetsudo Hakubutsukan Station in Onaricho, Omiya Ward, Saitama City. Built to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the founding of JR East, The Railway Museum undertakes preservation and research work in relation to both Japanese and international railways. Using exhibits of real railway locomotives from different eras, as well as train-driving simulators etc., the Museum enables visitors to learn about both the history of railways and the latest rail technology.

Saitama Stadium 2002 Park located in Misono, Midori Ward, Saitama City is Japan’s largest dedicated soccer stadium. The whole area of the park including the main stadium, three sub-grounds, two futsal courts and an open space spreads over about 30 hectares. Events related to soccer including J-League and Japan representative matches as well as a soccer academy are held here as well as other events such as a flea market in the open space.

Founded over 2,400 years ago, Hikawa-jinja Shrine is famous for its “Hikawa Gagaku-kai,” which was organized in 1935. This society performs ancient court music known as gagaku at the shrine’s festivals. Although it is also held in the spring, the annual kangetsu (moon viewing) gagaku performance at the shrine’s music pavilion in the fall lets visitors enjoy a fantastic autumn evening with a performance that blends kagura and kangen dance.

Cocoon City is a large shopping area near the east exit of Saitama-Shintoshin Station in Omiya Ward,Saitama City. The prefecture's largest cinema complex, Cocoon 1, is directly connected to the station, while Cocoon 2 is a great place to spend some time and walk around, and Cocoon 3 is built around a Yodobashi Camera store. Altogether, the complex contains about 270 shops.

This park was opened in 1885 as Hikawa Park, and began to be operated by the Prefecture from 1898 as Omiya Park. With over 1,000 cherry blossom trees, it is famous for cherry viewing, and was selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots. With a small zoo and a large playground with play-equipment, this is a family friendly park.
