- This facility complex with the theme of Japanese paper is located in Mido Higashi-Chichibu Village, Chichibu County. It is also called “Roadside Station Washi-no-Sato Higashi-Chichibu.” In addition to a workshop where you can observe and try out techniques involved with handmaking traditional local “Hosokawa paper,” they also have other facilities including a paper making building built during the Edo period, exhibits for traditional culture, restaurants and a food court. These are also direct sales stores for Japanese paper products and agricultural goods.

頂上の丸山展望台からはほぼ360°のパノラマが広がっていて、武甲山はもちろん奥秩父やアルプス、北関東に目を向けると、赤城や上越国境の山脈が見えます。 冬季は林道も積雪しますが、頂上まで車で入りやすいので良いドライブスポットです。 頂上の展望台にはベンチもいくつかあります。ハイカーの方はここから正丸尾根へ縦走します。
