    Saitama Pref. Chichibushi Kumagimachi 28-1
    A museum dedicated to Chichibu-Meisen silk located in Kumagi-machi, Chichibu City. The museum contains examples of antique meisen silk, looms and other production equipment, materials on the history of Chichibu textiles, and old posters. The museum also works pass on the techniques of Chichibu Meisen. Visitors can try katazome stencil dyeing and weaving cloth by hand, or check out the museum shop. The museum's main building and factory building were originally built as the Saitama Prefectural Chichibu Industrial Testing Station in the early Showa period and are designated National Tangible Cultural Properties.

    A Shinto shrine located in 1-Chome Washinomiya, Kuki City. Believed to be the oldest large shrine in the Kanto region, records state it was founded by the Izumo tribe. The Washinomiya Saibara Kagura music and dance performance, passed down since ancient times, is said to be the origin of kagura Shinto music and dance performed in the Kanto region and has been designated a National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property.

    A Buddhist temple founded in 751 located in Niihori, Hidaka City. Located on high ground in Komago, an area pioneered by settlers who traveled here from the ancient Korean kingdom of Goguryeo, the temple's principal object of worship is a state of Acala. The temple also enshrines a Buddhist statue of guardian buddha of King of Goryeo, Jako, Nandikesvara. The temple's grounds are outfitted with walking paths and scenic observatories for visitors to enjoy. In spring, a 170-year old higan cherry tree growing on the park's grounds comes into bloom along with various weeping and Yoshino cherries and other flowering trees and plants.

    "A park maintained on the grounds of a castle situated along National Route 125 in Honmaru, Gyoda City. Oshi Castle, counted as one of the seven great castles of the Kanto region, is also known as the ""Floating Castle"" after it withstood Ishida Mitsunari's attempt to flood it during Toyotomi Hideyoshi's 1590 campaign to subjugate Kanto. The castle's citadel was demolished in the early Meiji period. Today, a three-tier reconstruction stands on the site; serving as part of the Gyoda City Folk Museum, inside visitors will find exhibits on the history and culture of Gyoda."

    A historic building located in 3-Chome Mikajima, Tokorozawa City. The building is operated as an activity base for the Totoro no Furusato Foundation. The over 100-year old main building, storehouse, and tea workshop are all designated National Tangible Cultural Properties, and on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, the facility is made open to the general public. Workshops, art exhibitions, and other events are held here, and visitors can also purchase original Totoro Foundation merchandise.

    トトロ好きには必見です。愛知県の大高緑地公園にはサツキとメイの家がありますが、ここもそういった展示があって、トトロの世界にしたれます。なんと言っても大きなトトロがいて子供は大満足。

    This museum is in Ogawa Town, Hiki County, Saitama Prefecture. The regular exhibition hall displays examples of Saitama prefecture's traditional crafts, and also offer chances to try your own, including Ogawa's own Ogawa Washi papermaking, mizuhiki paper cord making, and bamboo crafts. They also have special exhibits from various artisans, and in the Kogei Bussankan craft hall, they display and offer authentic pieces of craft for sale.

    国道254号沿い。道の駅おがわまち敷地内にあります。令和3年4月1日より入館料無料。埼玉県指定の伝統的手工芸品が30品目ほど展示してあり、越谷ひな人形や所沢人形など人形の類いは特に見応えがあります。

    "A Buddhist temple located in Yokoze Town, Chichibu County. Established in 1234, the temple enshrines an eleven faced, seated statue of Kannon known as the ""Mochiyama Kannon"" as well as a statue depicting the Amitabha triad. A huge, 600-year old maple tree designated a Natural Monument by the prefecture stands on the temple's grounds. This is the eighth temple of the Chichibu 34 Kannon pilgrimage; together with the Saigoku 33 Kannon pilgrimage in the Kinki region and the Bando 33 Kannon pilgrimage in the Kanto region, these three pilgrimages make up the Japan 100 Kannon pilgrimage."

    This historical building on the grounds of Koma Shrine is located along Kawasemi Highway in Niibori, Hidaka City. This is a restoration of the home of the Koma family, who served as Shinto priests here for generations. It is estimated that it was built in the early Edo period, and is nationally designated as an important cultural property. The 400-year-old weeping cherry tree in the garden blooms at around late March.

    天皇陛下と美智子皇后陛下が日高市の巾着田と高麗神社を訪れました。 高麗神社には毎年1月に拝んでいただいていますが、 今回はただ来ただけなのでゆっくりと裏にまわって見学しました。 裏には高麗家住宅があり、古い家がありました。 観光客はもう1組しかおらずゆっくりと見て回ったが時間はかかりません。 茅葺き屋根です。

It was founded in 1966 on the former site of the mansion that Kitazawa Rakuten, founding father of modern Japanese manga, spent his later years with the goal of promoting the growth of manga culture. On display are the works of Kitazawa Rakuten as well as the works of other modern manga artists and they also hold various manga related events.

    通常展示は少ないので企画展によって評価が分かれるかと思います。 お庭に出ることができて天気の良い日はとても気持ちが良いです。

According to legend, when the great priest Shoku was on a pilgrimage in Chichibu, he was presented with a stone seal (pass) by Yama, the judge of the afterlife and he offered the seal to this temple, and accordingly this temple is also known as the ""Seal Temple."" This is the 25th temple of the Chichibu 34 Kannon pilgrimage; together with the Saigoku 33 Kannon pilgrimage in the Kinki region and the Bando 33 Kannon pilgrimage in the Kanto region, these three pilgrimages make up the Japan 100 Kannon pilgrimage."

    浦山口駅から歩いて向かいました。 荒川を渡り向かったお寺は山門をくぐるり観音堂をお参りして少し離れた本堂のほうで御朱印を頂きました。途中の池には睡蓮が咲いてました。時期が合えば蓮の名も見られるようです。

    うっすらとした記憶が甦ってくる 細い路地を車走らせ到着する あずかり観音様と牛と山神様達が待っていてくれた トイレ奥には干支の虚空蔵菩薩様が! 本殿にも観がいる お墓側には弁財天が! とにかく盛り沢山 賑やかなお寺さんだ 楽しいし、面白い また参拝したい

    This is the residence of the village headman in the Edo period, the Arai Family, relocated and opened to the public as a museum of the local region. The appearance of the building is a good example of sericulture farmers, characterized by the layers of chestnut boards, and the shingles on the roof held down by stones. The building has also designated as a National Important Cultural Property of Japan.

    A museum located within the Katakura Industry's cocoon warehouse at their Kumagaya workshop, the last silk factory, which introduce the actual process used to produce the silk reeling machines and raw silk used in the factory and the life inside the factory. Visitors can see the actual machines that were used as well as a memorial gallery and the state of the warehouse as it was when operational. In 2007 it was designated as a site of Heritage of Industrial Modernization.

    もともとは片倉製糸工場があった場所なので、記念館があっても不思議ではないです。当時の貴重な資料がたくさん展示してあって、無料で見学できます。 大型産業の無い熊谷市にあっては大変大きな施設であったことが分かります。

    秩父観音霊場第七番に指定されている曹洞宗のお寺です。 境内は広く落ち着いた雰囲気で、正面に平賀源内の設計と伝えられる大きな本堂があるが、入口が左に寄った独特な造りです。 境内にある豊川稲荷は家内安全や商売繁盛のご利益があるほか、山門前にある特徴ある石柱、恵比須・大黒天、牛伏堂由来の石像、観音像など、由来がありそうな珍しい像が多いお寺でした。

    This temple, created out of the merger of Hahasozan Zofuku-ji Temple and Goyozan Shorin-ji Temple, is the 15th temple on the Chichibu 34 Kannon Pilgrimage which attracts many devout worshippers. The main hall is a rare building in which both Japanese style architecture and Western style craftsmanship was used. It was built with a hipped, gabled and tiled roof with the walls plastered white to create a fireproof structure. In addition to having many flowering trees in the precincts, more than 5,000 Amur Adonis plants have been planted by former priests making the temple a famous place for admiring the flowers.

    駐車場は広く 通りを渡ったお寺の敷地は細長く 何だか? 事件があった様だ 貧しさの中でもがき暴徒化した困窮民集団に警部補二人が殉職した秩父事件が! お二方のお墓がお寺の粋な計らいでここに作られた様だ 窪田・青木両警部補のご冥福をお祈りいたします また住職に感心しました

The temple's Iwaido hall, which enshrines the principal object of worship, stands on an overhanging cliff at the top of over 300 stone steps reached after a walk among the mountains. This is the 26th temple of the Chichibu 34 Kannon pilgrimage; together with the Saigoku 33 Kannon pilgrimage in the Kinki region and the Bando 33 Kannon pilgrimage in the Kanto region, these three pilgrimages make up the Japan 100 Kannon pilgrimage.

    15世紀末頃の創建と言われる曹洞宗のお寺で、秩父観音霊場二十六番札所に指定されています。 お寺は良く手入れされた木々や草花に囲まれていて、入る前から落着いた雰囲気がありました。 本尊の聖観音は恵心僧都作と伝われていて、岩井堂にあったものを移設したそうですが、非公開で拝観することはできません。 奥の院・岩井堂は清水の舞台を小さくしたような舞台造りと聞き興味があったが、今回は見送りました。

Officially named the ""Iozan Yakujuin Hachioji,"" records state the temple was founded in 857 by the great monk Jikaku Daishi (Ennin). The temple's Kannondo hall enshrines a statue of Sacred Avalokitesvara (Kannon) and the temple is the 33rd and final temple on the Musashino 33 Kannon Pilgrimage."

    境内で懐石料理を食べることができます。ただし事前予約をする必要があります。私たちは3000円のコースを予約しました。住職さんのお話を聞いてから竹の子の炊き込みご飯や近くで採取した植物の天ぷらや煮物など季節感のある食材を食べました。

On April 18, the Mawari Nenbutsu ceremony is held in which local residents form a ring around a giant Buddhist rosary and chant the nenbutsu prayer.
