    This drive-in is located along National Route 18, near the JR Shin'etsu Main Line's Yokokawa Station, approximately five minutes by car from the Joshin'etsu Expressway Matsuida-Myogi Interchange. It is managed by Oginoya, a company founded in 1958 that has been providing Yokokawa Station's lunchbox meals since its founding and is loved across the nation as the maker of Toge Kamameshi. The premises include not only Kamameshi shops, but also coffee shops and sweets corners, restaurants and convenience stores. It is the ideal place to recover from the exhaustion of traveling.

    This confectionary store is located inside Fujioka City's Roadside Station, Laran Fujioka. The store’s flagship product, Gouter de Roi is a gem that is made with the most suitable flour for Gateau Rusk and the very best carefully selected butter. The store also sells Gouter de Roi Sommelier Italien, which uses Italian basil and Parmigiano, and Gouter de Reine, a cross between Gouter de Rusk and a raisin sandwich, available only in the Gunma Prefecture, and which is a snack fit for a queen. Also at the store, customers can enjoy the café menu and its most popular product, Soft Cream de Roi, which comes complete with a slice of rusk.

    This confectionery store, which firmly believes in making authentic sweets at reasonable prices, is located in Fujioka City, Gunma Prefecture. Its signature product, Tamago Manju has even received attention from the media. Customers can enjoy the absolutely unique texture of the buns with their fluffy, lightly fragranced crust and a whole seasoned boiled egg inside. The store's richly flavored Natural Vanilla Pudding, with its blend of fresh cream from Hokkaido and gentle aroma of vanilla beans from Madagascar is also an exceptionally popular product.     "Located in Annaka City, Gunma Prefecture, on the Joshinetsu Expressway's Yokokawa service area, this is a branch of a Kamameshi restaurant established in 1958. It serves Kamameshi (pot-cooked meals) made with carefully selected local ingredients including young chicken meat, burdock and chestnuts, and cooked into a ""warm, homely meal"" in the way of the Toge District. Also for sale on weekends and holidays are brown rice lunches, paired with azuki beans and adlay, homemade ganmodoki and Kinpira burdock, among others, all made with natural ingredients, and chicken thigh lunches made with a whole chicken thigh."

    "This restaurant's famous silk udon is near to the World Heritage Tomioka Silk Mill. It uses a blend of wheat from Gunma Prefecture's Norin No. 61 and Hokkaido-produced wheat paired with silk protein solution from Tomioka Ainota's 100% natural cocoons to create silky smooth yet firm ""Cocoon Udon"" noodles, which go outstandingly well with tempura. These flat ""Okkirikomi"" noodles, made by mixing wheat with silk protein are a seasonal limited product, and are excellent with green onions, which are softer and sweeter in the colder seasons, and French duck in the restaurant's extremely popular autumn and winter-only Duck Kirikomi menu item."

    A bistro-style restaurant with a casual atmosphere serving a la carte dishes. IL.PINO is located a three minute walk from the Tomioka Silk Mill. The restaurant serves meat-based dishes as well as stone oven-baked pizzas and dishes made with seasonal vegetables. IL.PINO pays particular attention to the use of ingredients just coming into season, in season, and at the end of their season, providing meals through which diners can experience the changing of the seasons. The restaurant also keeps on hand around 40 varieties of wines chosen for going well with the cuisine. IL.PINO can be rented out for special events and can accommodate up to 40 persons; the restaurant also provides special plans for group tours.

    A taiyaki stand a five minute walk from the main entrance of the Tomioka Silk Mill. Kurasanchi is famous for its kaikoyaki, a silkworm-shaped taiyaki sweet containing fillings such as custard and tsubuan coarse sweet bean paste. The chewy kaikomochi are also popular. Both are perfect for enjoying while going sightseeing. In addition, due to the strong association between threads and fate in Japan, the silkworm statue in front of the stand has been purified by the local Suwa-jinja Shrine to ensure it brings good luck. This cute statue is also rapidly becoming a popular commemorative photo spot.

    Shinshuya is located among a row of cherry trees standing on along the Ogawa River, considered one of the 100 most beautiful rivers in Japan. This café is housed inside a remodeled shop building constructed in 1905. The shop was a part of the local community throughout the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods, and the building still retains an air of these bygone times. The café is located on the first floor, while the second floor serves as a rest space from which visitors can view the row of trees outside. Shinshuya offers soft serve ice cream made with milk provided by local dairy farmers, coffees from around the world, knickknacks, and silk goods. Tourism information is also provided here, and the staff at Shinshuya can tell you about local area highlights.

    Mayu Kayu Tajimaya is a Japanese-style confectionery store located in Takumi, Tomioka City. The store’s well known confection, mayukomori, which resembles the shape of a cocoon in connection with the Tomioka Silk Mill, is dissolved in warm water to make an exquisitely smooth and gentle tasting kuzu-yu, or arrowroot tea. They also have green tea and ginger flavors too. Mayu Kayu Tajimaya also sells their mayukuwa monaka (bean jam filled wafers) in the shape of a cocoon, and their silk du rayaki, a bean jam pancake with Tomioka silk inside.

    You’ll find this deli along Prefectural Route 46 in Tomioka, Tomioka City. It is known for its Japanese-style rolled omelets made with locally produced eggs obtained fresh every morning. In addition to plain omelets, there’s also eel, cheese, crab, Shimonita green onion with chili oil, and other types available. Visitors can also enjoy baked manju buns with mulberry leaf, large-sized rice balls with boiled egg inside, and other items for sale. There is an eating area inside the shop.

    Cafe Drôme, housed in a refurbished old folk house built in 1875, is popular for its silk chiffon cakes using Tomioka silk protein liquid and homemade miso. The café has an antique and retro atmosphere, perfect to spend time relaxing. Silk scarves are also exhibited and for sale in the next building. It is about a 10 minute walk from Joshu Tomioka Station on the Joshin Dentetsu Line.

    Shinyotei opened in 1925 is a restaurant with Western and Japanese style where you can enjoy nostalgic menu items such as katsudon (rice bowl topped with pork cutlets), omuraisu (seasoned rice wrapped with a thin egg crepe) and rice with curry sauce, and everything is homemade from scratch. The katsudon using pork produced in Gunma Prefecture seasoned with sweet and spicy sauce, a well-known Tomioka product, is superb and recommended. The curry roux prepared from the frying flour stage is superb.
