This roadside station is located near the entrance of the Places of Scenic Beauty Agatsuma Gorge, approximately 20 minutes West of central Higashiagatsuma Town, which is approximately 50 minutes from the Kan’etsu Expressway Shibukawa Ikaho Interchange, via National Route 145. There is a station’s Tengu takeout corner with dishes directly from the farm, and its soft served ice cream is very popular even in the winter. Visitors can also enjoy the local cuisine at the Agatsumatei restaurant with dishes such as the Ginger Roast made with a local specialty Yamato Pork.

    Gunma Pref. Agatsumagunkusatsumachi Kusatsu 2-1
This roadside station is located near the entrance of Kusatsu Hot Spring, on National Route 292 (Japan Romantic Road), and was designed with the look of a German town in mind. Facilities inside the grounds include the Baelz Memorial Hall, which follows the life of Dr. Baelz, a German doctor who introduced Kusatsu Hot Spring to the world, and the Romantic Road Pavilion Museum, which has a collection of materials relating to roads in both Japan and Germany. The shop’s most popular product is the local specialty Kusatsu Roll Cake, which is made with scarlet runner beans and fresh cream. The shop’s Scarlet Runner Bean Milk Soft Cream is also recommended.

    Gunma Pref. Agatsumaguntakayamamura Nakayama 2357-1
This peaceful roadside station is located along the Shibukawa Shimoshinden Road and its magnificent views of the mountain range and fields, approximately 20 minutes from the Kan’etsu Expressway Tsukiyono Interchange. The restaurant has an unforgettable Valley Ramen dish which is recommended. The agricultural direct sales outlet sells fresh vegetables, specialty Konjac made from konjac yam roots and processed goods made by local mothers. There is also Fureai Plaza, a day-trip hot spring where visitors can enjoy the outdoor bath while looking at the star-filled sky. And there are also cottages available for a longer stay.
