The Bakery Café Renga is housed in a saw-tooth roof factory that is registered as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan built in the Taisho period. The bakery and shop also has outdoor seats for visitors to enjoy. Saw-tooth roof shaped French toast and raisin filled toast called Raison Monroe are popular. The café menu offering salad and drink sets are also recommended for a stylish lunch. It is located approximately eight minutes by car from JR Kiryu Station.

The beloved Ikoku Chosai Basho restaurant, offering over 40 types of menu items unchanged since establishment in 1937, is a retro western cuisine restaurant with murals by Shiko Munakata on the walls. Popular dishes include Indian Curry, Umagoya (stable) Curry, Umagoya Lunch set, and Basho Lunch set etc. It is an eight minute walk from JR Kiryu Station.

ランチで訪問。カレーランチとプレートランチ、デザート盛り合わせが選べます。頼んだのは馬小屋ランチで、豚串、肉団子、サラダ、ご飯、味噌汁、コーヒーがついて1000円とリーズナブル。味も美味しくて大満足。コーヒーが特に美味しかった。外観が一瞬怯むくらいの雰囲気で、中も秘密基地みたいな迷路っぽい作りで面白い。棟方志功の壁画がぱあっと輝いて見えました。

The Train Restaurant Seiryu operates in the Watarase Keikoku Railway Godo Station building, which is a National Tangible Cultural Property. The recommended dish is maitake mushroom and rice. This generous set meal of maitake mushroom tempura includes a bowl of soba, a small bowl of Japanese-style vegetables and rice. The rice and barley with ground yam set meal and mushroom curry are also popular dishes. The restaurant also sells two types of ekiben railway boxed meals, a Yamato pork lunch box and torokko trolley train lunch box.

昔に比べると味も落ちたし、店の中が汚すぎる。店の中は蚊が凄いし、ハチもアブも。衛生面大丈夫なのかな？これ保健所入ったらアウトじゃないのかな。しかも帰る時の出来事！どのお客さんが出入りしても普通なのに、なにが気に入らなかったのか急に外に出た瞬間「バチーン！」とドアが壊れる勢いで無言で思いっきり入口のドア閉められたし。もう行かないかな。昔の良い思い出も全て消えました笑

The Tofu and Kyoto-style Yuba Restaurant Wakamiya is a popular restaurant to enjoy tofu and yuba cuisine made from natural bittern. The restaurant serves an Omakase chef selection lunch and dinner course using tofu and yuba made that morning. The old weaving factory building with a saw-tooth roof has a charming appearance. Souvenirs are also sold in the adjacent shop. It is about 10 minutes by car from JR Kiryu Station.

Watarase Keikoku Torokko Trolley Railway

The Watarase Keikoku Torokko Trolley Railway operates between April and November and is an open-type train without windows. Travelers can enjoy the scenery of the Watarase Valley from the train. The ceilings of cars numbers 2 and 3 are decorated with lights and Illuminate for about ten minutes in the Kusaki Tunnel between Godo and Sori Stations.

Gunma Pref. Midorishi Omamachouomama 1012

Since its founding in 1787 Oka Naozaburo Shoten has continued to manufacture soy sauce in the original tradition of using wooden barrels and natural brewing, unchanged since establishment over 200 years ago. The store and main building of the Omama Factory as well as the collection of cultural artifacts were registered as National Tangible Cultural Property of the country in 2013. Souvenirs such as soy sauce, miso, udon, confectionery are available at the refurbished historical house, now a shop. It is a five minute walk from Omama Station on the Watarase Keikoku Railway.

大間々駅から徒歩5分ほど。いかにも年季を感じる店構えです。工場見学（所要時間２０分）は毎時、1時間おきです（12時除く）。数多くの種類のしょうゆが売られています。お土産に最適な小瓶のものもあります。その他、手ぬぐい、Tシャツ、ポシェットなども。お店の横に車4、5 台置ける広さの駐車場あり。

Kawatomi is a place for cheap but tasty food in Gunma. The nasunokabayakiju which is sliced eggplant fragrantly grilled with a sauce and put on top of rice in a box is famous. Joshuota yakisoba is thick noodles mixed with plenty of sauce. In particular, the nasunokabayakiju is mentioned in many media and often talked about. Online sales of kabayakiju are now available.

茄子の蒲焼重が食べたくて立ち寄りました。ナスがトロトロになるので、うなぎの蒲焼とは全く違う食感です。鶏肉が隠れていて、不思議なお重ですね。他に屋台っぽい魅力的なメニューがあったので、そっちを頼めばよかったかな。もの好きな方は一度食べても良いかなという感じです。

Udon Honmaru is a restaurant which is directly operated by a long-established dried noodle restaurant “Tatebayashi Udon” which has restored the taste of udon noodles passed on in Tatebayashi from the past. The udon noodles have such a good reputation that they were honored with a purchase by the Showa Emperor when he visited Tatebayashi for a National Athletics Meet in the past. The famous menu item is tempura udon noodles with deep fried catfish which is a well-known local dish. For customers who want to enjoy a lot of udon noodles, there is a tenzaru udon with three servings of udon noodles on a large plate. It also sells dried noodles as souvenirs. Musashi, dried noodles that weigh 634 grams, is a product named after Tokyo Skytree, which is 634 meters high.
