This ski resort is located in Agatsuma County, Gunma Prefecture, approximately 25 minutes' drive from Manza-Kazawaguchi Station. It consists of two areas, the highland area and the Kaman slope, and offers a variety of courses for beginners and advanced skiers to enjoy. At the restaurant in the Center House, visitors can enjoy meals such as a pork curry, the taste of which has not changed in the forty years that the ski area has been open, or inaka udon. There are also counter where visitors can rent various kinds of equipment such as skis and snowboards and shop available in the House, as well as ski schools organized by the Snow Area.

嬬恋にある小さなスキー場です。ここはあまり雪が降らないのかスノーマシンで雪を作っています。そのため下地は硬く、ハードコンディションです。朝一にカービングで切っていくのがとても気持ち良いです。目の前に広いレストランがあり、そこのソフトクリームが美味しくておススメです。

This resort hotel is located at a high altitude of 1,800 meters, approximately 80 minutes from the Joshin-etsu Expressway Usui-Karuizawa Interchange. Manza Onsen has characteristic cloudy spring water and four different types of spring water from sources managed by the company which are piped to eight baths, of which one is reserved for women only, and of which the Sekitei outdoor bath is most famous. It is an acidic sulfuric magnesium sodium sulfur chloride spring. It is said to have a skin cleansing effect and to be effective for nerve pain, sensitivity to cold, recovery from fatigue, etc. At the buffet restaurant, Shirane, visitors can enjoy dishes made with local seasonal ingredients. It is also possible for non-guests of the hotel to use the baths.

日帰り温泉のプラン利用が良いと思いました。宿泊、日帰り温泉プラン利用したことがあり、今回は昼食プランというのがあったので利用してみました。ランチも日新館でお金払えば食べれますので日帰り温泉プラン利用をお勧めします。昼食プランの食事は期待以下でした。

This is a day hot spring facility at Agatsumakyo Roadside Station, about 20 minutes via National Route 145 to the west of Higashi-Agatsuma, Agatsuma County, Gunma Prefecture. The onsen is set in a natural environment and the hot spring water quality, warming bathers to the core, is delightful. The facility includes an indoor bath, outdoor bath, bath to lay in, and baths for private use. Towels are sold on site so anyone can easily enjoy a bath. Rooms for private use are also available so visitors can enjoy the Tengu-no-yu in privacy. The “Kantsu Seki” stone from Moshirou Tunnel, placed in the outdoor bath, is regarded as a guardian stone beneficial in helping to conquer difficulties, achieving academic success and easy delivery.

吾妻峡温泉天狗の湯へやって来た。草津温泉に向かう前最後の入浴へとやって来た。以前八ッ場三兄弟の湯と言われる湯があったが、その中の湯の源泉は、JR吾妻線のトンネル工事の際に湧出した湯であったが、この湯ももしかしたら・・・可能性ありだね。

鹿沢でのキャンプ帰りに立ち寄りました。源泉掛け流しで、岩盤浴もありゆっくり過ごすことができます。施設は古いですが、この地域の日帰り温泉としては十分と思います。内湯は子どもには熱いですが、露天風呂であれば入れました。

A museum in Nakanojo-machi, Nakanojo Town, Agatsuma County. The museum is located within the former Agatsuma Dai-san Elementary School which was built in 1885 and has been designated as an Important Cultural Property of the Prefecture. On display are historical materials and information on local folk customs related to Nakanojo covering the span from primitive times, through the middle ages and Edo period, all the way up until the Showa period. Alongside the permanent exhibits the museum also holds special exhibitions, lectures, and history courses.

中之条町の地元の郷土博物館です。様々な古道具が展示されていて、見ごたえがあります。温泉地ですのてそれに関わる展示もたくさんあり、なかなか面白かったです。

The Kataoka Tsurutaro Art Museum, opened in 1998, is a gallery attached to Kusatsu Hotel which can be enjoyed by families. It boasts about 120 permanent exhibits and the exhibition changes four times a year according to the season. Visitors can see the Sainokawara hot spring steam from the large window of the café at the museum, great for relaxing after appreciating the artworks. The café is also open for non-museum patrons.

"This ski resort is inside President Resort, in Agatsuma County, Gunma Prefecture. It is located 40 minutes from Karuizawa Station by either shuttle bus or by taxi. There are a variety of courses, from a family course which is suitable for lift beginners, to the expert ""Azalea"" course with a maximum gradient of 32 degrees, for skiers of all levels to enjoy themselves. There is a dog park where visitors can play with their pets in the snow, and there are also pet-friendly cottages and a dog hotel located nearby. Additionally, there are restaurants and hot springs nearby, and visitors can enjoy them throughout the day."

The Shibu Pass, spanning between Nagano and Gunma Prefectures boasts a stone marker indicating the highest peak over which a national highway travels; National Route 292 running between Mt. Yokote and Mt. Shirane. The view from the peak can take your breath away. It overlooks the extensive Yoshigadaira Marshlands in which the luscious green of the trees and the wetlands intermingle. At dawn, the sea of clouds, softly glowing from the rays of the sun is a glorious sight to see.

This is a rest area on the Onioshi Highway; it has a great view and is located between Karuizawa and Kusatsu/Manza. The facility houses shops selling local agricultural products and wild vegetables as well as snacks as gifts to take home with you and an outdoor dog run (free of charge). There is also a restaurant where you can eat while looking out at the magnificent scenery of the Rokurigahara Plain.

This day-use spa is a part of the Roadside Station Rokugo. It's sodium calcium-sulphate chloride hot spring water is a bit cloudy and has distinctive dark floating deposits. Bathing here is said to help alleviate muscle soreness and nerve pain. In addition to an indoor bath with plenty of water, there is also a foot bath that anyone can use freely. They also have a low table with a heating element and blanket known as a kotatsu in the break room to help you unwind after your bath. Part of the Rokugo Village Senior Center, lots of local elders come here to relax.

An outdoor amusement zone built on the grounds of the Nakazawa Village resort and hotel in the Kusatsu Onsen hot spring resort district. Visitors can climb obstacles amongst the trees and enjoy attractions like a 100 meter long zip line, soaring through the air. This Kannon Temple is located in Tsumagoi Village, Agatsuma County, Gunma Prefecture. It is believed to be the only remaining one in Kanbara Village since the great eruption of Mount Asama in 1783. Kanbara Village was completely covered by the eruption and has been called the Oriental Pompeii. In an excavation made in 1979, the remains of two women were found at the bottom of the stone steps. Materials of the period relating to the disaster are exhibited at the nearby Tsumagoi Folk Museum. The museum staff and preservation society also sometimes give talks about the history of the area. Even now, the Kuyo festival is held here every year.

1783年の浅間山噴火により犠牲になった477名、唯一残った観音堂に賭け上がれ生き残った93名の村人の明暗を分けた階段があります。流された延命寺石標、流死馬供養地蔵、15段に届かず絶命した2人の女性の遺体発掘跡、観音堂を背に村を見渡すと屋根が低い、この辺りはすっぽりと埋まったという景色。隣村有志の情けにて妻亡き人の妻となりこの歌が村の再建の執念を感じさせる。一見の価値ありです。

The Aikawa district in Nakanojo Town, Agatsuma Couty was designated as Gunma Prefecture's first Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings in 2006. The area flourished with the rise of silkworm farming and many buildings of old sericulture farmers still remain including the former residence of Yumoto family, said to have sheltered Takano Choei, a prominent scholar of western studies when he was pursued by the Edo shogunate. Tours of the village led by local guides are also available (reservation required).

At this roadside rest stop, located at the entrance to the vast Asama Farm sprawling 1,300 meters above sea level, visitors can get a bite to eat and enjoy picking out souvenirs and gifts. The rest stop's roast beef donburi rice bowl, featured on television, is limited to just a few customers a day and consists of homemade roast beef served over rice with a side salad of alpine vegetables, an exquisite flavor combination.
