At four kilometers it’s longest slope utilizes the natural topography of the landscape. The kids park and a beginner area make it great for families and those new to skiing. From the summit you can enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding mountains.

    This restaurant is located at the bottom of the Mt. Nikko-Shirane ropeway, in Katashina Village, Tone County. Visitors can enjoy the local flavors of seasonal wild vegetables and locally grown vegetables in the Highland Vegetable Tenju set, the Tomato Cream Udon, the Nihachi Zaru Soba, which uses Nihachi Soba, or the Highland Vegetable Curry. This rich menu also includes sauce cutlet rice bowls and noodles with roasted Mochi pork fillet.     This snow park is located in Katashina Village 1 hour 30 minutes by bus from Numata Station. It is blessed with beautiful mountain landscapes and a natural environment. There are a variety of courses available, including the Dynamic Course, a SAJ-certified race course, the Diamond Slope, with its powder snow, and the Lesson Slope, which is reserved for beginners and children. The snow park also puts an emphasis on snowboarding, with facilities such as the Super Pipe, jumps and rails. It is also possible to use the auto campsite during the summer.

    This pass is at the entrance of Ozegahara in Katashina Village, Tone County. There are regulations now on private car use in the area so must be entered by bus or taxi from the car park. At the Hatomachi Pass free rest station, visitors can enjoy buckwheat noodles made with locally grown mountain vegetables and mushrooms and other specialties such as sweet sugared beans and bean flower soft cream, corn and sweet Japanese cakes, hiking goods and souvenirs. Private room as well as large room accommodation is also available at Hatomachi mountain cottage.

    This restaurant is located approximately three minutes from the Kamada intersection, 40 minutes’ drive along National Route 120 from the Kan'etsu Expressway Numata Interchange. This extremely cute restaurant is recommended for girls to visit. The items on the menu, made possible by the tomato farm, include Green Tomato Pickles and Tomato Farm Premium Hayashi Rice, which is made with bright red tomatoes and domestic beef that are stewed until they lose their form. The restaurant's sweets, such as the buckwheat Galette, are also recommended. The restaurant is only open irregularly during the spring and summer months, as it gives priority to the farm during this time. It is, however, open for business as usual when the ski resort opens each year.

    This ski resort is open only to skiers, and is located in Katashina Village, Tone County, Gunma Prefecture. A ski slope which is 2,500 meters long and descends for 300 meters is provided for beginners and children to safely enjoy, as well as a course with moguls for advanced skiers. Other courses include the Kaede Course slope on a slight incline and varying width, which has become popular with intermediate level skiers. There is also the Miffy Adventure Park, which is an area where small children can enjoy mountain sledding, roasting marshmallows on campfires and other activities without the need for any equipment.

    沼田インターから1時間かかりますが、それでもボーダーがいないのはとても快適です。初級から中級者にとっては絶好の練習場所です。食事も素朴でゲレ食というよりは食堂ですね。また、ミッフィーとコラボしていますので、小さなんお子さんにはうれしいですね。ちびっこのレッスンもやっていましたよ。みているとほのぼのしてきます。子供たちにも優しいスキー場です。

    This day-trip hot spring facility is located in Hanasaku no Sato, in Katashina Village, Tone County, Gunma Prefecture, overlooking the magnificent Mt. Sukai and other mountains. There are two types of outdoor bath available, the Kaze no Yu, featuring a rock garden overflowing with rustic beauty, and the Kou no Yu, which is surrounded by different flowers, depending on the season, as well as the bed-rock bath, which uses almandine from Katashina Village. It is a simple alkaline hot spring and is said to be effective for nerve pain, muscle pain and recovery from fatigue, etc. There is also a popular restaurant called Hanasaki, which serves ginger roast Joetsu pork and direct sale outlets, which sell products directly from the farms.

    五時間まで¥650です!タオル、バスタオルは付いてないので持参がいいですね!(ない場合は有料にて)空いてればゆっくりできますが、混んでると特に脱衣場は狭く感じますね。露天風呂は開放感があり気持ちいいです!売店では地元の物がお土産として売られてたりアイスクリームも売ってますのでテラスでゆっくりと過ごすのもいいですね!

    This distinguished temple is located on Mt. Kashozan, Gunma Prefecture. It was founded in 848, and bestowed with a Goshuin and rights to a hundred thousand koku (of rice). It is said that a tengu mask was left after monk chuho made a vow to stay at this mountain forevermore as a spiritual being and he rose to heaven. The custom to dedicate a tengu mask derives from this legend. The best Tengu mask in Japan was enshrined in Chuhodo in 1939 to pray for victory in the war, and again in 1970, this time to pray for traffic safety to the Great Tengu. Once every 10 years, a grand ceremony is held for people to worship the Shintai, which contains the spirit of the deity.

    This sweets shop is located along the Japan Romantic Road in Nakamachi, Numata City. It boasts an excellent fluffy and moist Baumkuchen, baked painstakingly with a goodly amount of rum. There are several types, including a standard type, which is coated with chocolate, and also a plain type, which contains no chocolate on their standard menu. Additionally, the shop has a rich line of seasonal limited items including choco-kuchen which has chocolate mixed into the dough and lemon-kuchen which uses a lemon-chocolate mix. The shop is so adorable and fairy-like, it has even been a candidate for the filming of a TV drama.

    "This temple is located approximately three minutes’ walk from Kichijoji Iriguchi bus stop, after taking the Kawaba loop bus from the JR Joetsu Line's Numata Station. This Zen temple of the Rinzai sect was opened in 1339 by Ujitoki Otomo of Kencho-ji Temple in Kamakura as head temple. Due to its location as the northernmost Kencho-ji Temple, it is also known as the North Gate of Kencho-ji. The temple grounds are home to the Kichijo-ji Hundred Flower Gardens, also known as the ""Temple of Flowers"", with flower beds of Mizubasho flowering in the Spring and Higanbana flowering in the Autumn. Also, in the temple's tea room, Seitaian, visitors can enjoy seasonal sweets with Matcha green tea."

    This drive-in is located near Fukiware Falls, a nationally designated Natural Monument, which is located along National Route 120, off the Kan-etsu Expressway Numata Interchange. The drive-in sells food and souvenirs, and also has free parking. The restaurant's Maitake Kamameshi and Maitake Gohan dishes, made with the local specialty Maitake mushrooms are very popular. There is also a direct sales center for Oigami Maitake Farm, which has plenty of fresh Maitake mushrooms for sale. The drive-in is fully-stocked with local signature products, such as The Emperor's Kuriyokan, Highland scarlet runner beans and Joshu's local sake, among others.

    This day-trip hot spring inn is located 20 minutes' drive from the JR Numata Station, Gunma Prefecture, just a little way down the Okutone-Yukemuri Highway, in Kawabayubara. This simple alkaline hot spring features water drawn from the source which is said to have a cleansing effect on the skin and to be effective against nerve pain, etc. Visitors can view Hotaka Shrine while bathing in the Hotaka no Yu bath, and there is also a beautifully designed garden limited to guests of the inn which can be seen from the Kobo no Yu and Sato no Yu baths. In addition, the inn's course meals are centered on Joshu beef and Joshu Mochi pork.

    This campsite is located in the vicinity of Lake Sugenuma, in Oze National Park, Katashina Village, Gunma Prefecture. For the most part, only bungalows are able to be used, however, in some cases tents may be used in the campsite for a limited time. Pets are allowed inside the bungalows, and there is also a dog run as well as a dog pool which uses water from the river. Campers can enjoy barbeques around a campfire and fishing on the lakeside, as well as experiencing popular canoe tours of Lake Sugenuma, one of the most transparent lakes in Japan.

    This mountain pass is 2,024 meters high, and is located at the border of Katashina Village, Tone County and Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture. The pass is surround by high mountains such as Mt. Shirane and Mt. Nantai and it is said that the pass was opened by Mt. Nikko monks as a path for mountain training. The Konsei Shrine, which worships a phallic image, is enshrined on the pass. It is also a part of “Japan Romantic Road” and visitors can enjoy the changing colors of the leaves of the maples on Mt. Konsei. The best time for viewing the autumn leaves is from the end of October to the middle of November. However, it is closed from the end of December to the middle of April due to snow.

    "This service area is located towards Katashina Village, via National Route 120 from the Kan’etsu Expressway Numata Interchange. It is in Hatomachi Toge Pass, one of the gateways to Oze. The location is perfect, with the Hatomachisanso accommodation facility established here, as a base when accessing to Mt. Shibutsu, one of Japan’s top 100 famous mountains, and Heaven’s Paradise Ayamedaira. There are stores, restaurants and souvenir shops that sell local Katashina Village ""Oze brand"" merchandise, mountaineering goods and so on. Among these, the original Scarlet Runner Bean Soft Cream is very popular. During the season, due to car access limitations, it is recommended to take a bus or taxi from Tokura nearby."

    This campsite is located approximately 30 minutes from the Kan-etsu Expressway Numata Interchange, at the foot of Mount Sukai, one of Japan's Top 100 famous mountains. It is in a bright, open location with easy access to Oze, and is also close to Fukiware Falls, often called the Oriental Niagara Falls. Beginners to camping can relax with the permanently stationed camp instructors on hand. There are bungalows equipped with AC power, cooking areas, covered barbeque areas and so on. The campsite also has popular events such as the firewood splitting experience.

    This facility is located by way of National Route 120, from the Kan'etsu Expressway, on Prefectural Route 62, in the direction of Mt. Akagi. Visitors to the center can enjoy fishing in the natural water pond, catching a variety of fish including Char. There are as many as 30 kinds of fish in the differently shaped ponds, where visitors can fish for fun or to take their catches home with them. Because the ponds are supplied with fish from the fish farm, visitors can also see the shadows of many large fish in the ponds. In addition to lure and fly fishing, bait fishing is also permitted, and even small children and beginners can enjoy a successful catch.
