    東照宮ということで徳川家康公を祀っています。群馬県知事公舎のすぐ近くにあるので、かつては群馬テレビの年始特番がここから放送されていたこともあったりします。今は松平大和目当ての方が多いかもしれません。

    真っ赤な鳥居が離れたところにありますが境内にも沢山の鳥居をくぐることができます。 あらゆる所に狐様がおいでになり油揚げも売っています。 普通の日でもちらほらと人が来ています。 地元に愛された神社という感じです。

    周辺の道路が整備されたということだったので、初めて寄ってみましたが、駐車場に入るあたりからなんだか不思議なのですが商売の空気感が強くなってきました。 残念ながらあまりこういう心境のときにはお参りするのは失礼と思って、サクっと見て今回は帰りました。

    26聖人殉教の際、辛くも難を逃れたモレホン神父が1607年に訪れた記録のある前橋の中心部に建つ教会です。現在の聖堂は戦前の建造。双塔が美しいゴシック調とモダンの組み合わせが美しい教会でした。

    淀君のお墓があります。 大阪夏の陣の秋元氏の陣に、淀君が逃れてきて、 側室になって「お艶」「お戌」と名乗り側室となり、 次代当主を生んだという伝説があるそうです。 お墓に「淀君の墓」とは書かれていないので、分かりにくかったのですが、保育園の先生がご親切に案内して下さいました。 淀君が乗っていた興もお寺に保存されているそうです。

    昔のメイン通りから一歩外れた場所にあります。時計修理で近くまで来たのでそこに車を停めて拝観しました。境内はとても狭くてイベントがある時ははみでちゃうでしょうね。 でも木彫りの細かさやブロック塀の干支の彫り物などじっくり見て楽しめます。 外出自粛の今ですが三密はない観光地です。

    地元では、紫陽花寺として親しまれているところだそうです。私が行ったときは、もうシーズンも終わりでしたが、少しはまだ咲いていて、楽しめました。

    明神様と親しまれ、初詣は年越しの深夜から賑わいます。昔は、盆踊りもありました。近所の小学生の写生大会の題材にも。初詣の時期、臨時駐車場は、小学生の校庭です。

    水道資料館は現在も閉館中ですが、GWは敷島浄水場一般公開中です。今年は5月3・4・5日の3日間です。今回が第39回になります。約40種類370本のツツジが満開でした。出店も出展していて楽しめました。

    伊勢崎駅のちかくにあるお寺で、武家門があるのが素晴らしいと思いました。いろいろと見どころのある寺院なので、歴史の好きな人には飽きないかもしれないなあと思いました。

    広い敷地に、母屋、茶室、蔵造りのお稲荷さん、資料蔵があります。 資料蔵と、母屋奥の蔵がミニ博物館になっています。(入り口から想像しにくい広さです) 平日に行ったためか、係りの方に丁寧にご案内いただきました。母屋では、昔の遊び(貝を使うものと、扇子を投げるもの)をさせていただきました。 伊勢崎は実は城下町で、織物の産地としても栄えていたそうです。 そんな往年の伊勢崎を感じられる、街の宝物のような...
