    Shinyotei opened in 1925 is a restaurant with Western and Japanese style where you can enjoy nostalgic menu items such as katsudon (rice bowl topped with pork cutlets), omuraisu (seasoned rice wrapped with a thin egg crepe) and rice with curry sauce, and everything is homemade from scratch. The katsudon using pork produced in Gunma Prefecture seasoned with sweet and spicy sauce, a well-known Tomioka product, is superb and recommended. The curry roux prepared from the frying flour stage is superb.

    カレーうどんをいただきました。 まず量が多い！ 昔ならばペロリですが、結構キツイです。 女性には厳しいのではないかな？ ちなみに連れ（女性）は、食べるのがゆっくりなこともあり、どんぶりの中のうどんが食べても食べても減らずに、涙目になってました。 注文時にでも、麺の量の多さを説明してくれるとありがたいな、と感じます。 麺はツルツルしていて美味しいです。

    平日のランチで利用しました。11:30に行きましたが既に何組かお客さんがいてあっという間に満席になっちゃいました。ロースとんかつが950円、ホタテ2個海老ヒレの3種類盛りが950円とコスパいいです。衣もサクサクでとても美味しかったです。

    高崎出張時は何軒ものパスタ店に訪れましたが、とんかつ専門店も市内で結構見つけて利用しました。 中でもこちらのお店のとんかつは一番印象に残っています。特に良かったのが衣。勿論豚肉も美味しいのですが、衣の揚がり加減がとても自分の好み。こんなに衣が美味しいと思えたのは久しぶりでした。
