- This yaki soba noodle shop was founded in 1957. Its “black” yaki soba is famous and has been featured on television and in magazines. It features thick noodles smothered in the shop’s original sauce. It’s dark and delicious, and the simple flavor accentuates the sweetness of the cabbage. Their “yaki manju” steamed yeast buns with miso-dare sauce are also popular. A takeout menu is available.

昔からあります。 近くに祖父母の家があり新聞紙に包んだ 熱々の真っ黒い焼きそばは遊びに行った時の定番でした。 店内で食べたことはないのですが テイクアウトしています。 今はプラスチックの容器におしゃれに入っています。 甘めのちょっとあるキャベツが当たりのようで変わらない味は懐かしいです。

- Kokoya, located on the Ikaho Stone Steps, is famous for its specialty Ikaho-yaki (octopus takoyaki). Visitors order the takoyaki on their way to worship at Ikaho Shrine, and they are ready to eat hot on their return. The tender and juicy takoyaki, crispy on the outside and filled with a large piece of octopus, are so popular that many visitors to Ikaho don’t go home without eating some. The menu also includes shaved ice, agar jelly, Oshiruko, a sweet red bean soup, and amazake (sweet rice wine) depending on the season.

温泉饅頭の勝月堂さんとコラボしたアイスを戴きました。店の前にベンチもあり、石段で疲れたので、一服しました。たこ焼きも美味しかったです。
