At four kilometers it’s longest slope utilizes the natural topography of the landscape. The kids park and a beginner area make it great for families and those new to skiing.     This ski resort is located approximately five minutes from the Kan’etsu Expressway Minakami Interchange. There is also a free shuttle bus service from the JR Minakami Station or from the Joetsu Shinkansen Jomo-kogen Station (reservation required). It is accessible for day trips from the Tokyo area.     This snow park is located in Katashina Village 1 hour 30 minutes by bus from Numata Station. It is blessed with beautiful mountain landscapes and a natural environment. There are a variety of courses available, including the Dynamic Course, a SAJ-certified race course, the Diamond Slope, with its powder snow, and the Lesson Slope, which is reserved for beginners and children. The snow park also puts an emphasis on snowboarding, with facilities such as the Super Pipe, jumps and rails. It is also possible to use the auto campsite during the summer.

    This ski resort has 16 courses with a total length of 12,620 meters and 7 lifts. It is located approximately 30 minutes from the Kan’etsu Expressway Minakami Interchange. Because of its highest altitude of 1,400 meters, the ski resort gets a lot of excellent quality snow. The ski resort has a diverse layout, with a wide range of courses, from the Downhill Course, which always has deep powder snow for advanced skiers to enjoy, to courses which beginners can easily enjoy, as well as a Snow Park and a Kids’ Land. There is also a Kids’ Laboratory, where children can improve while learning in a fun-filled way.

    This ski resort is open only to skiers, and is located in Katashina Village, Tone County, Gunma Prefecture. A ski slope which is 2,500 meters long and descends for 300 meters is provided for beginners and children to safely enjoy, as well as a course with moguls for advanced skiers. Other courses include the Kaede Course slope on a slight incline and varying width, which has become popular with intermediate level skiers. There is also the Miffy Adventure Park, which is an area where small children can enjoy mountain sledding, roasting marshmallows on campfires and other activities without the need for any equipment.

    This family-friendly ski resort is located approximately 60 minutes by shuttle bus from the JR Joetsu Shinkansen Line’s Jomo-Kogen Station. In addition to the various beginner to advanced-level courses, there are also two kids’ parks separated by age-group, with a Pikachu lift, Pikachu skis for rental and Pokémon collaboration events. There are also a range of snow activities, including the popular Dog Sled Experience, where visitors can race through the winter wonderland with the dogs.     This ski resort is in an excellent area which overlooks the mountain range of Joetsu boundary area. It is located approximately 40 minutes from the Kan’etsu Expressway Minakami Interchange, via National Route 293, heading towards Yu no Koya. More than half of the courses are suitable for beginner and intermediate-level skiers, so it is recommended for first-time skiers. There are, of course, also courses which advanced-level skiers will find enjoyable, and it is also possible to snowboard here. There is a kids’ park where children can enjoy playing with sleds, so even small children can safely enjoy playing in the snow. The ski resort is located adjacent to Hotel Sunbird, and all of the courses are designed conveniently to end in front of the hotel.

    This ski resort is located at the top of Tanigawadake Ropeway, accessible by bus 25 minutes from the JR Joetsu Line's Minakami Station. This flat, gentle slope stretches out between Tenjintoge and Takakurayama, two peaks of the Tanigawa mountain range. It has a wide variety of courses from beginners’ courses to expert level courses. It boasts an excellent powder snow that does not use artificial snow machines and has a heavy amount of snowfall that, in the high season, exceeds 4 meters in depth. It is also possible to make a day-trip from the metropolitan area, and it is appealing for visitors to be able to enjoy the slopes for an extended length of time until early May (expected).

    This ski resort is located in Agatsuma County, Gunma Prefecture, approximately 25 minutes' drive from Manza-Kazawaguchi Station. It consists of two areas, the highland area and the Kaman slope, and offers a variety of courses for beginners and advanced skiers to enjoy. At the restaurant in the Center House, visitors can enjoy meals such as a pork curry, the taste of which has not changed in the forty years that the ski area has been open, or inaka udon. There are also counter where visitors can rent various kinds of equipment such as skis and snowboards and shop available in the House, as well as ski schools organized by the Snow Area.

There are also various lessons available, including a day-long ski school for children up to junior high school age, kids' lessons which last for approximately one hour and even backcountry lessons. There are also skis and snowboards available for rental and gloves and googles for sale.

    This ski resort, designed with nature and mankind in mind, is located in Minakami Town, Tone County, Gunma Prefecture. In addition to the wild beginner to advanced courses, there is also a slope which is reserved for snowboarding only. It is also possible to play on sleds in the Children’s Plaza at the foot of the mountain. From the peak of Imakura-daira at the top of the second pair lift, which is one kilometer long, the magnificent Tanigawa mountain range is visible from up close. On the irregularly announced Premium Powder Days, 90% of the top of the slopes is non-compacted snow, and visitors can fully enjoy skiing on the fresh snow.

Jizo-dake in the background, is located on Prefectural Route 4 from Maebashi City or direct bus from Maebashi Station, and claims to be the smallest in Japan. Half of the ski slope is devoted to sleds and the area is gaining popularity as a large park to play in the snow. A snow escalator with a total length of 60 meters was installed in 2012, and adults can enjoy the snow leisurely while child can enjoy playing safely to their heart’s content. This small ski field where visitors are welcomed by a large snowman opens at the end of December every year.
