- This walkway starting near the Yokokawa Station in Annaka City, Gunma Prefecture, was once the track used by the Abt-type train as part of the former Shin-Etsu line. Visitors can enjoy hiking along the ruins of the railway that travelled along the Usui Pass, a difficult area for railroad transportation. The old brick construction en route is the Maruyama substation, registered as a National Important Cultural Asset. The path passes through five tunnels including Usui Toge no Mori Park Exchange Building, Toge no Yu, Usui First Tunnel, and then onto a grand bridge with four arches. While enjoying the view of Lake Usui seen from the Abt railroad, visitors can get a sense for the railway scene of the Meiji and Showa periods.

- This caravan park in Gunma Prefecture’s Asama Highlands is in an area of natural riches that include forests, brooks, and meadows. One of its draws is a variety of sites including those with hammock stands and trampolines, sites for singles, and sites where you can let your dog off its leash. Of course, it’s great in summer, and winter stargazing is amazing. The caravan park’s Asama Hutte offers a hot menu ranging from breakfasts to café style meals.

- A caravan campground situated on the bank of the Naramata Dam lake. The campground has a variety of sites, including sites near a cooking ground great for beginners, and sites with electrical outlets, enabling visitors to choose the type of site which best meets their needs and purposes. There's even an area with fenced in sites where pets are allowed and can even be allowed to run free without a leash. The campground management building rents out camping equipment; there's also a shop selling camping equipment, vending machines, pay showers, a laundromat, and other facilities. Visitors can go bug hunting in the surrounding forest and play in the river nearby.

ダムの奥にあるキャンプ場。到着するまで本当にキャンプ場があるのか分からない感じですが、山に囲まれた静かな場所です。カヌーもできるので、シルバーウィークはたくさんの人がやって来てました。

Gunma Main Areas

Gunma prefecture is synonymous with onsen. Natural hot spring water sources throughout the prefecture have given rise to a series of small onsen towns, each set among luscious mountains. At Kusatsu, Ikaho, and Minakami, traditional indoor and outdoor bathing experiences are served hand in hand with irresistible onsen-themed food, including steam-cooked eggs and custard pudding.
