Shoji Hamada was a potter and living national treasure. This memorial hall in Mashiko Town, Haga County, Tochigi Prefecture showcases his pottery collection. Of course, Mr. Hamada’s own work is on display, as is the work of his colleagues Kawai Kanjiro, Bernard Leach, and others. The facility consists of Hamada’s residence and a portion of his workshop.
