Guests in the indoor baths can enjoy two types of warm water, hot water and lukewarm water. The day trip plan which comes with lunch and dinner and offers the chance to rest in the room is also popular.

- A temple located in Yumoto, Nikko City. It is a branch temple of Rinnoji Temple on Mt. Nikko, a registered World Heritage site. The origin of this ancient temple is said to date back to 788, when Shodo Shonin, known as the founder of Nikko, discovered hot spring water and enshrined Ruriko-no-Norai, the Medicine Buddha. The temple is also known as one of the few temples in Japan with hot spring facilities on its grounds, and visitors can take a day-trip to the milky white Yakushi-yu hot spring (closed during the winter season).

川治にてカヌー体験をしました。 鬼怒川に泊まっていたのですが、12時30分からの集合だと微妙でした。 でも早く着きましたが、丁寧に対応してくださりありがたかったです。 意外と近辺はあまり栄えておらず、足湯と個人商店が立ち並んでいました。 カヌー体験は楽しかったです。

Visitors can bathe in its simple alkaline hot spring water that's good for the skin. The small, cozy facility is equipped with a sparkling clean stone indoor bath. The windows looking out on the well-maintained garden can all be opened, letting you feel the refreshing air on your body. Bathing there is believed to help alleviate conditions like nerve pain, muscle soreness, and joint pain. Lots of locals visit daily.

地元民に愛されている温泉。市民は200円、市外者は410円と安く入浴出来ます。 無色透明の単純泉。公衆浴場タイプの温泉で浴室内もさほど広くはない。入浴者のほとんどが市内在住の方と思われます。だいや川公園遊んだ後の汗を流すのに利用もいいですね。

- A day-use hot spring facility at Oku-Nikko Yumoto Onsen, also called Nikko Okuzashiki. Visitors can relax while taking in the scenery from the facility's bath with a view. The clean and airy building has these as well as outdoor baths in both the men's and women's bathing areas. Its natural sulfur spring, also known as Yakushi-yu, is reputed to have skin beautifying properties and help alleviate nerve pain, chronic digestive diseases, and high blood pressure. Occasionally they close earlier than the published time, so it's best to call and confirm they'll be open if you want to come at night.

湯元温泉に来ていた。この湯元温泉には日帰り入浴施設が2つあり 今、「源泉ゆの香」に入浴し、もう一軒も入浴しようとやって来た のは「ゆ処山月 五識の湯」。この湯元温泉の日帰り専用施設は、 どちらも小さく「ゆ処山月 五識の湯」の方は、露天風呂におい ては展望が全くない為改善を望む。

市営の温泉なので市民は310円 市民外は500円での料金となります。内湯と露天風呂がありますが、別の場所に有り入り直すには服を着て行かなくてはならず面倒です。食事処もありますが風呂が10時からなのに対して食事処は11時から15時迄となっています。休憩室は沢山ありますが市民のお年を召した方々の憩いの場となって居る感じでした。

Its popular items include its juwari soba, soba noodles made with buckwheat flour ground in-house each day without wheat flour filler, as well as their wild vegetable tempura. Located inside of a kominka (old Japanese-style house), the restaurant has a nostalgic atmosphere. Guests at the restaurant, which is visited by locals and tourists alike, can take their time to enjoy a meal. We recommend going early as the restaurant closes as soon it runs out of soba noodles.

県道栗山日光線の起点近くにあり場所はわかりやすいお店。そばと中間グレードの天ぷらを注文した。 そばはわさびを自分ですりおろして食べるのだが、これがとても良い。天ぷらは大きな野菜が7-8点盛。どの素材も新鮮で味わいがある。どくだみの葉の天ぷらは初めてだったが、独特の味でまた食べたくなった。

Tochigi Areas
Most visits to Tochigi revolve around Nikko, a small city home to the spectacular, lavishly decorated Toshogu Shrine and Nikko National Park with its mountains, lakes, waterfalls, onsen, and wild monkeys. Neighboring Oku-Nikko is an extension of the fantastic scenery famous for its autumn leaves, while Tochigi’s capital, Utsunomiya, is the only place in the world where you can find oya stone beautifully exhibited in temples and the Oya History Museum.
