The museum is a theater-style museum that can be called the culmination of the work of Seiji Fujishiro, an artist of light and prayer, and where an objet d'art of a cat guides visitors through the lush garden that leads from the Nagaya-mon gate. A brick chapel with beautiful stained glass windows is also located in the garden.

I was moved by his great expressiveness. This museum was better than I expected. But, the explanation board is only in Japanese.

A ski resort in Maekuro Yumoto-Shiobara Nasu-Shiobara City. The ski resort offers a three kilometer downhill trail a Snow Park equipped with a half pipe and kicker The Kids Park with plenty to do such as the sledding slope and the Family Park where families can have fun together. As well as ski and snowboard lessons the resort provides plenty of facilities including six restaurants and shops.

大きなスキー場ではなくシンプルな感じでわかりやすいゲレンデでした。ゴンドラもあるのでロング滑走ができるコースです。ただ、ゴンドラを乗った場合は上級者コースを通らないと下に降りられないため、乗る際は注意が必要です。途中から中級や初級になるが最初のみ上級コースを滑ることになります。ある程度滑れるようになってからゴンドラ利用をお勧めします。他のコースは緩斜面が多いです。練習には向いています。

This Tendai Sect Buddhist temple in Oya Town, Utsunomiya City, Tochigi has been built surrounded by a cavern. Within the temple are 10 stone carvings of buddha carved directly into the cavern wall including Japan’s oldest statue of the goddess Kannon (the Oya thousand-armed Kannon). "This Shinto shrine is sung of in the ""Ashikaga Ondo,"" a song about the local area: ""If you come to Ashikaga / Look for Orihime's red shrine / Clatter-thump-thump / Clatter-thump / Ashikaga, town of pictures / Town of machinery."" Boasting history and traditions stretching back 1,300 years, the shrine is seen as the guardian shrine of the textile town of Ashikaga. The current main shrine building, which celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2017, was rebuilt in 1937 after its predecessor was destroyed in a fire in 1880. From the crimson-lacquered shrine, visitors can get a sweeping view of the Kanto Plain. In 2014, the shrine was designated a Lover's Sanctuary and was also selected for inclusion in the Japan Nightscape Heritage list."

This Buddhist temple in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture, was founded by Ashikaga Yoshikane in 1196. A Shingon sect Dainichi school temple the principle object of worship is Dainichi-Nyorai. The main hall was declared an Important Cultural Property in 1950 and was declared a National Treasure in 2013. The temple is a great place to see the sakura cherry blossoms in the spring and yellow gingko leaves in the fall.

Being an ancient samurai castle this is a true marvel of Japanese culture and heritage. Beautiful and tranquil.

This zoo in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture has a theme of “Nature, Animals, and Kids.” It raises about 90 animal species, including lions, giraffes, and Asian elephants. You can see the animals up close and feed and pet some of the smaller ones. Pony rides are popular with the kids. There is also an amusement park on the grounds, a pool that’s open in summer, and a winter fishing pond. A visit provides a day of fun for the whole family.

Associated with Futarasan Jinja Shrine, this shrine is located approximately one kilometer from the main shrine. Tagorihime-no-Mikoto, the princess of Onamuchi-no-Mikoto, is enshrined here. The shrine is encompassed by a fence and is built in a quiet space amidst the trees where Tagorihime is said to have descended to earth. Sights to see include the Kodane-ishi, where visitors offer prayers for conception and easy childbirth, the Enmusubi-no-Sasa, and the Undameshi-no-torii, a stone torii gate where it is customary to try your luck tossing stones through the small hole near the top. Shiraito Falls located nearby is also a must-see.

This temple belonging to the Tendai sect located near Lake Chuzenji in Nikko City is a branch temple of Nikko Rinnoji Temple. It began when Shodo Shonin, the founder of the Nikkozan religious sites witnessed Senju-kannon (the thousand arm Kannon goddess) appearing on the lake and carved an image of the Kannon in a standing tree or “tachiki,” which became the principal object of worship at the temple. It is the eighteenth temple in the Bando pilgrimage circuit (comprised of 33 Kannon temples in the Kanto region). People worship the Tachiki Kannon in the hondo (main temple building) as the shoganjoju Buddha, which is believed to grant people’s requests of various kinds, and the mido hall which enshrines Hashiridaikokuten is often visited by people praying for safe childbirth, the return of runaway family members, and to prevent their partner from having an affair.

On the Kinugawa River Boat Cruise visitors can enjoy the spectacular scenery traveling downstream in a boat skillfully oared by the boatman. The boating experience is in operation daily between mid-April to late November. The rare and oddly shaped rocks and scenery throughout the seasons are magnificent and the cruise thrilling. If there are seats available visitors can board the boat without prior reservations.
