    This urban park selected as one of Japan's 100 best is among the finest in Tochigi Prefecture. The park covers 93.3 hectares of hilly terrain with mixed groves of trees including jolcham oak, sawtooth oak, and Japanese red pine that surround the central Igashira Pond. The park's Ichimannin Pool water park and its boating pond are especially popular. Some of the park's other facilities include a rose garden, an alpine plant greenhouse, and an athletic field.

    道の駅みぶに車を停めて、道路を渡るとすぐ目の前にありました。かなり広い公園で、トレインも走っていますが、混んでいて乗れませんでした。有料の舟などもありましたが、芝生にシートを敷いて、テントを立てて過ごす方が多く、キッチンカーもあったので、ランチはそれで済ませました。子供が沢山遊べる空間でした。帰りは道の駅で野菜を購入もでき、便利。

    Nikkosan Rinnoji’s Homotsuden is next to the Sanbutsudo. This building houses approximately 30,000 temple treasures that represent Nikkozan’s more than 1,200-year history and the building contains many National Treasures, important cultural properties, and important works of art. In addition to the approximately 50 pieces that are always on display, visitors can also see paintings related to the Tokugawa family thanks to the cooperation of the Tokugawa Memorial Foundation. The “Kurenai (Crimson) Suspension Bridge” that links to the cliff across the river is a famous spot for viewing the fall foliage and new blooms of spring.

    12月に池に反射するメタセコイアを見に行きました。 一部紅葉も残っていて、遊歩道や日本庭園エリアも楽しめました。 水辺が多く、ウォーキングに最適です。

The interior is decorated in the style of the manor houses in Cotswolds, England, and it contains several works of antique stained glass from the 1800s. The chapel hosts daily pipe organ and music box performances, and it is possible to book it for wedding ceremonies.

The main building is characterized by its white plaster walls and with over 400 exhibits you can see their entire collection on display. There's also the history hall with its porcelain tiled walls, which has a showroom of large porcelain pots by Imari and an observation deck on the top-most floor.

The varieties available for picking include Tochigi’s “Tochiotome”, the new variety “skyberry,” and “benihoppe” with its great balance of sweet and sour. Reservation required for picking, which is 30 minutes all-you-can-eat, and the house is stroller and wheelchair-accessible. Condensed milk is free of charge. Strawberries and strawberry jam are also available for purchase.
