"A public park commanding a view of the Kashima Sea. The park's array of facilities include a huge, 154-meter long jumbo slide facing the ocean and other playground equipment, as well as a lovely walking path which follows a mountain stream. Visitors are also encouraged to come to take a walk here and enjoy the park's cherry blossoms, plum flowers, Japanese roses, and other seasonal flowering plants. The ""Uchu Tenboto"" tower offers a 360 panoramic view of the area."

    週末早朝訪問。展望台がランドマーク。高齢者のウォーキングに適。スケートボード禁止!の掲示有り。ボーダーにはボ○とかオタ○コとか愚痴をこぼしたい気持ちで山々です。

"Renowned for its cherry and azalea blossoms, this public park has also been selected for a list of Ibaraki Prefecture's 100 most picturesque locations. The park's observatory offers a sweeping view of Lake Kasumigaura and the area sprawling along the Kitatone River, and, on clear days, Mt. Fuji. It is said that ""Joshu Ushibori,"" one of the famous ""36 Views of Mt. Fuji"" woodblock print series by Hokusai, was created here."

Ibaraki Areas

around-area-map

Just a stone’s throw from Tokyo, Ibaraki is a coastal prefecture that has mastered juxtapositions, where old shrines meet new scientific discoveries and traditional gardens are frequented by the inventors of some of the newest technology. Head to Mito City's Kairakuen - one of Japan's Three Great Gardens - in spring to experience the cellestial blooming of fantastic cherry blossoms at the annual sakura festival.
