    A sightseeing boat cruise operated by Oarai Shinsengumi which docks at the Oarai Town Fisheries Cooperative Wholesale Market in Oarai, Ibaraki Prefecture. Originally operated by Resort Outlet Oarai, after a change in the company which owns and operates it, the cruise began running again. The red and black tour boat, flying a pirate flag, leaves for a 30-minute round trip cruise on the Pacific Ocean from a dock close to Oarai Marine Tower. The exact course of the tour changes depending on circumstances, but tour-goers will get a sweeping view of Oarai from the sea. Seven tours are held every Sunday and on holidays.

    "A Japanese seafood restaurant which has been in business for over 30 years located a two-minute walk from the ""Masaki Higashi"" bus stop on the bus leaving from Tokai Station on the Joban Line in Naka County, Ibaraki Prefecture. The restaurant serves sashimi, seafood rice bowls, kamani hotpots, and lovingly made using fresh, local seafood and tuna stocked each morning from the market by the owner. The restaurant also offers seasonal goosefish nabe hotpot and goosefish liver in ponzu sauce, as well as reservation-only kabutoyaki broiled tuna head. The restaurant carries several varieties of seasonal sakes and also has courses for parties and Buddhist memorial services."

    Restaurants in country sides are quite different from those in metropolitan cities. First. Their prices are cheap but it doesnt mean that the quality of food is bad. Actually it is sometimes better...

    An Italian restaurant located close to the Aqua World Ibaraki Prefectural Aquarium in Oarai Town, Higashiibaraki County, Ibaraki Prefecture. Diners can enjoy a relaxing meal in the restaurant's bright and warm interior decorated with paintings and antiques. The restaurant has no fixed menu, instead serving chef's choice courses which include pastas, red wine stews, and hors d'oeuvres made with Hitachi beef, local fish, and other ingredients stocked that day. Normally, children are not permitted in the restaurant, but the establishment has one family day each month.

    3年ぶりの規制なしのGW、川崎からロングドライブで大渋滞に悪戦苦闘しながら、ひたちなかの海浜公園に二人で出かけました。帰りに古橋亭でディナーを頂きました。お客は少なめでしたが、頂いたお任せの5000円コースは良い材料を丁寧に料理されているのが良くわかり、味や見た目も良くとてもおいしく頂きました。久々のコース料理、大満足です。

    A small swimming beach enclosed by an embankment. The beach's waves are extremely gentle, and children and poor swimmers can enjoy playing in the ocean here in safety. A large, whale-shaped inflatable slide 2.5 meters tall, 15 meters wide, and weighing five tons floats in the center of the beach's harbor area. This popular slide serves as a symbol of the beach. During swimming season, there are beachside clubhouses, changing rooms, and heated showers available for visitors to use.

    "A Japanese confectionary shop located on the Nagacho Shotengai shopping street in Oarai Town. The shop's popularity exploded after its ""Mitsu Dango,"" skewered triple dumplings which are a local Oarai favorite, were featured in a popular animated television series. Plump mitarashi-style flour dumplings covered with a special sauce and kinako toasted soybean flour, their novel texture combined with their familiar, old-fashioned flavor have long made them a favorite with locals. Customers can purchase a single skewer or sets of five or 10 skewers. Now that Oarai has become a mecca for anime fans, the shop also has anime-themed displays and sells merchandise as well."

    ランチがちょっと物足りなかったので、味の店 たかはしに寄りました。 ここは、５本300円のパックです。 自転車でなければパックで買うのですが一本でも売っているので二人で二本買いました。 暖かくてみたらしがほんと美味しいです。 上にきな粉をまぶしてあります。

    "A long-standing brewery established in 1823 located a five-minute walk from Hitachi-Konosu Station on the JR Suigun Line. The brewery makes the Kikusakari refined sake, shochu, wine, liqueurs, and other alcoholic beverages. The grounds enclose the brewery's daiginjo storehouse, boiler room, koji production room, and other brewing facilities. There's also a shop where visitors can taste and purchase an abundant variety of alcoholic beverages, merchandise, and products while enwrapped in the brewery's distinctive atmosphere. The adjoining Nakaya restaurant serves handmade soba noodles, sake, and Hitachino Nest Beer inside a Taisho period storehouse. The restaurant's ""Sake Soba,"" juwari soba noodles made with just 100% buckwheat flour and, unusually, sake, are particularly popular."

    A prefectural designated Historic Site in Shaka-machi, Hitachinaka City. It was built by Tokugawa Nariaki, the 9th head of the Mito Clan for the purpose of casting cannons. It was destroyed during the internal strife of the Tenguto Rebellion in 1864 but was restored in the early Showa period. It is also recognized as a Heritage of Industrial Modernization by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

    連休に行きました。当日雪の予報でかーちゃんの店が臨時休業でしたが、県道沿いのこの店はやってました。似たような店が３件並んでますがその真ん中です。問屋の直営店なので刺身の鮮度はいいと思いました。サービスランチも1000円です。
