The shop's famed ""Ryugasaki Croquettes"" are made with panko breadcrumbs containing rice flour and are known for their excellent texture and surprising lack of oiliness. The shop sells eight croquette varieties in all, including the old-fashioned ""Ba-chan Croquette"" and the ""Okome no Cream Croquette"" made with lotus root grown in Ibaraki Prefecture and rich cream made with Ryugasaki rice flour. The flavorful, aromatic miso used to make the shop's miso marinated pork ""Ryugasaki-zuke"" whets the appetite even before you take a bite."

Besides their chestnut-packed Kasama Hagi-no-Hime pound cake, they also sell Gokoku Roll Cake and Kasama-no-Kuri Hiroi roll cake. There's also a cafe area on-site.

    五穀ロールが有名な洋菓子店。今回はホールのシンプルないちごケーキを購入しました。スポンジがふわふわ、生クリームもあっさり。甘さ控えめで一人で半分くらい食べられそうです。お誕生日ケーキにもおすすめです。

In addition to selling Kasama natural yeast bread, filled with a generous helping of fresh cream, French bread, sweet bread, cooking bread and sandwiches, the bakery also has an eat-in space on the second floor.

    売り切れになること多いとの噂をきいて心配したが、無事パンを買えました。ウインナーパンのウインナーは上質。カレーパンのまわりは油っこくなくサクサク。ほうれん草パンはふわふわ。どれも美味しかった。価格は都心よりも2割くらい安い。次々焼きたてパンが並べられ、並べるそばから売れていく。建物もオシャレ。近くに行ったら是非!

    お豆腐が、とってもおいしい。やはり冷奴でいただくのが最高。がんもどきは さっと焼いても、甘辛く煮てもおいしいです。豆乳ソフトは、甘さ控えめで さっぱりしています。笠間に行ったときは必ず立ち寄ります。

    このお店の近所の住宅街にお住まい方から頂いた焼菓子が美味しかったので、行ってみました。20台程度の駐車場がありますが、次々と車が入れ替わる人気のケーキ屋でした。残念ながら、喫茶部門は休業中だったので、焼菓子だけでなく、列に並んでケーキを買って帰りました。ケーキの種類は多く、味は焼菓子同様に期待通りの味で遠方から行った甲斐がありました。

They sell famous Mito sweets like Mito-no-Ume (white bean paste and gyuhi rice cake wrapped in red shiso leaves soaked in the special syrup using Fukuyui Mito-born plum), as well as Miyabi no Ume (syrup-soaked aoume plums covered in white bean paste and wrapped in gyuhi rice cake).
