Sea mammals and oceanic/freshwater fish from around the world and Oarai Sea are kept here. Exhibits are divided into nine zones, like “The Encounter Sea” and “Seas of the World.” You can watch a variety of living creatures, like popular penguins and sunfish, or see the impressive shark tank. A national park located in Hitachinaka City in Ibaraki Prefecture. The spacious grounds, totaling some 200 hectares, are filled with huge flower gardens. The nemophila in summer and bassia in autumn are particularly attractive seasonal plants. When in bloom, the park’s 4.5 million blue nemophila seem to bleed into the sky, creating a stunning sight. The fluffy bassia in autumn turning the area scarlet. The park also has a cycling course and barbecue area, making a perfect place for the whole family to enjoy an entire day together.

The interior includes a mentaiko plant that you can observe through glass, and a wholesaler where you can buy mentaiko directly. A great place for kids and adults to spend the day with mentaiko. The food corner has popular eats like “mentaiko onigiri” and “mentaiko ice cream.”

大洗に岩ガキを食べ行ったついでの立ち寄りました。試食があるイメージでしたが、殆どなし。物もまあまあお高いので食事をと思いましたが、これはというものもなく手ぶらで帰るのも何なので話の種に行列に並んでからし明太子おにぎりを買って後にしました。

The park encloses several historic structures, including the Nakayama Residence, a large farmhouse built in the mid-Edo period; and the Tobita Residence, the oldest ""magariya""-style building in the prefecture. The park is also a renowned destination for flower viewing, and some 1,500 flowering peach trees spanning five varieties grow on the grounds, in addition to a lotus pond in which grow Oga lotuses, an ancient lotus variety. Tsukuba Wanwan Land is a large-scale interactive zoo where you can pat the animals. A landmark is Mokkun, an 11-meter high wooden statue which is a dog-shaped observatory. Dogs are the main attraction, and there are about 500 dogs from 90 breeds. You can pat your favorite dog as well as experience walking with it. In addition to dogs, there is a building which houses cats only and an area which you can pat small animals so you can experience interacting with a wide range of animals. Entry with your pet dog is available. Your dog can use a dog run, and there are events in which it can participate.

板谷波山が展示されていた茨城陶芸美術館のついでに見学しました。ウォーホルのC夫人像が面白いと思いました。新美術館で開催されたキミコパワーズ夫妻のコレクション展を見ていたのでC夫人像を見た時ウォーホルが随分塗っている、と思いました。珍しいものを見ました。

"A facility which serves as both an archive and museum located a two-minute walk from the ""Rekishikan Kairakuen Iriguchi"" bus stop on the bus leaving from Mito Station on the JR Joban Line. The facility presents the results of research into materials and artefacts connected to the history of Ibaraki. The facility's spacious grounds also enclose an Edo period farmhouse and Meiji period Western-style school house which were dismantled and moved here. The facility's standing exhibit focuses on the history of Ibaraki. Easy to understand videos, graphic panels, and other exhibits present the prehistoric, ancient, near-modern, and modern history periods of the prefecture. The facility also holds lectures and activities for elementary and junior high school aged children."

尊皇攘夷の先駆の藩、水戸藩の詳しい資料があるかなと思い来ましたが、市販の歴史書の方が詳しいですね。どちらかというと明治以降や石器時代の方が広くスペースを取っているようです。更にほとんどが撮影禁止です。少し残念ですね。

This historic park is located in Ishioka City, Ibaraki Prefecture. It features an observatory platform modeled to look like the head of a shishi (lion), a public square with a playground, and a waterfront park for enjoying flowers in all seasons, including cherry blossoms. For a fee, you can enter the excavated ruins recreated as Kanoko Ruins Park or the Square of Restored Ancient Homes, even checking the inside to see historical documents and artifacts on display. A park erected on the site of the Expo '85 international exposition. The 10-meter tall Kagaku no Mon gate commemorates the expo; modeled after the symbol tower of the Japanese government's exposition hall, it was built to one fourth scale of the original. The silver balls suspended inside the gate depict the faces of four famous scientists, depending on the angle of the viewer. The park is also a renowned destination for cherry blossoms, and in spring some 300 Yoshino cherries come into bloom on the grounds.

初めて行ってみました。広くてびっくりです。奇麗に整備された公園があり、子供連れの方は楽しめると思います。ここでお野菜を買いましたが、にんじんは安く、多くのお野菜を安く買えます。いいところだと思います。また、寄りたいです。
