In the Washi Traditional Crafts Gallery, you can see how traditional Japanese washi paper is made and try making some yourself.

    近隣の契約者訪問のため、よく通りよく利用する。 売店にはいろいろ商品があるが、たくさん酒蔵があるのに大七酒造の日本酒ばかりなのは何か理由があるのだろうか。 トイレは広く綺麗。

    A roadside station located in Fukushima City. Inside, visitors can purchase fresh fruit and souvenirs like Tsuchiyu kokeshi wooden dolls, a famous folk craft from the Tsuchiyu Onsen hot spring district. The station's foods made with kon'nyaku devil's tongue jelly such as the handmade Meibutsu Chigiri Kon'nyaku shredded jelly and kon'nyaku ice cream. The station also has a restaurant serving udon noodles, rice bowls, and soups made with local ingredients, and the station is a great place for drivers exploring the area to take a break.

    高湯温泉方面から吾妻スカイラインを通り下った途中、福島駅へ行くまでの道にあったので、立寄りました。味噌、野菜など地元の食材があったので購入しました。大きい道の駅ではありませんが、ちょっと休憩するのにいいと思います。

    A roadside station located in Kawamata Town, Date County, Fukushima Prefecture. Due to the town's famous silk products, the station is nicknamed Silk Pier. The station has a museum which introduces the history and culture of textiles in the area, and a store selling smoked Kawamata shamo chicken and other processed foods. You can also eat soft serve ice cream here made with mulberry powder and silk powder, local sweeteners produced in the area. In addition, the station has a facility where you can try using a hand loom and dying cloth which attracts many tourists.

    市街地から福島市方面に進んだ場所にありました。小さいながらも施設の建物が全て独立した様式で、特産工芸品販売、農産物直場所、レストラン、工芸品展示館、トイレとそれぞれが敷地内に配置されていました。食べ物では軍鶏が推しのようで、レストランおよび直売所で関連製品を食べたり購入したりできます。なお、私が訪問した時点では、トイレの建屋が工事中でした。

    Ever since its grand opening in May of 2017, this facility has been a symbol of the region’s recovery. With over a million visitors in just five months, its appeal is evident. You can purchase original Kunimi products, general food items, fresh local vegetables, and fruits, and six-sector industrialization products, among which are included items produced in Fukushima and famous brand-name products and souvenirs. It’s about a 12-minute walk from JR Fujita Station.

    A roadside station standing along National Route 349 in Nihonmatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture. The station sells seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as local specialty products such as Sakura Miso and Sakura no Sato beer. Visitors can also eat soba noodles made by skilled chefs using local buckwheat flour, udon noodles, and other tasty dishes. The Kassenba Weeping Sakura, a famously beautiful cherry tree, is also located nearby, attracting large numbers of tourists.

    国道沿いにあります。ここでしか食べられない「岩代牛」のメニューがあります。ハンバーグは可もなく不可もなくですが、ソースがおいしかったです。

In addition to selling souvenirs, the station has a restaurant-the Soma-iso Soba noodles and aonori seaweed croquettes are particularly popular menu choices. Horseback rides, cooking classes, and other events are held at the station's Taiken Jisshu-kan hall, while the Doro Joho-kan information center has a space where station visitors can relax and take a break. In addition to area tourists, the station also serves as a gathering space for and is visited by many local residents.
