    This rest house has origins tracing back to a hut erected at Oze's Numajiri Marsh in 1890. It was relocated from Numajiri Marsh to the current eastern shore of Lake Ozenuma in 1915. At the time, it was the only mountain hut in Oze. Today, the rest house is well known to mountaineers and nature lovers alike. It is especially convenient for hiking around Lake Ozenuma and for climbing Mt. Hiuchigatake. The rest house can be reached in one hour from the Numayama Pass, the gateway to Oze from the Fukushima Prefecture side. It can be reached in three hours from Oshimizu, the gateway to Oze from the Gunma Prefecture. Located nearby is Oegawa Marsh, which is best known for its profusely flowering alpine plants.
