This market is quite well hidden away about two streets behind the covered shopping mall. Furthermore it is not obvious that it is a market if one doesnt know Japanese as the front of the market has...

The sushi shop Ichiba no Sushiya-san, with their Akita grown Sasanishiki rice and toppings straight form the market is particularly popular. There is also a liquor store, Sake no Eiyu, offering local Akita sakes by the bottle and sold by volume.
