Displays include fishing equipment used before its reclamation, pictures of the area drawn by Edo period travel writer Sugae Masumi, and more.

A ski resort located on Mt. Moriyoshi, a mountain selected for inclusion in a list of Japan's 100 best mountains for viewing flowers and Japan's 100 best frost covered tree scenery destinations. The resort has three beginner courses and two intermediate courses, making this a great destination for first-time skiers. But the resort's biggest draw is the stunning frost covered trees which can be seen near the top of the 1,200 meter high mountain. In February, the resort holds nighttime tours in which you can view the trees from the comfort of the cabin of a snowcat. Outside ski season, visitors can take in alpine plants in summer and stunning fall foliage in autumn. A 3.5 kilometer long lift with comfortable gondolas goes to the top of the mountain, making it easy even for senior citizens to enjoy the view.

We took the Ani Gondola ride up the mountain. From there, we trekked up the trail to one of the peaks. Nice view. At the Ani Gondola station, there was also an Akita dog stationed there.

The spring's waters come from the Shirakami-Sanchi mountains. The spring's name literally translates to ""the Lord's Water"" and is derived from the fact that one of the lords of Tsugaru, stopping here while making the regular journey between his domain and the capital of Edo, praised the spring's flavor."
