This is an onsen facility in Komagatake, Tazawako Obonai, Semboku. They have two outdoor baths, a natural stone bath and cypress bath, both offering views of Lake Tazawa. They also have a restaurant with a full menu including soba and udon noodles topped with fresh mountain vegetables, tempura, and more. There's also a rest station and Mt. Komagatake information center.

駒ヶ岳登山のためのバス待ちが1時間近くあり、時間調整で利用。ピーク時間帯とは全く異なる時間だったので他に客はおらず、貸し切り状態。なので店員さんから山の情報を伺うなど情報収集できました。オーダーしてから作るので多少は時間がかかりましたが、店員さんの丁寧な対応が好印象。味は普通でした。

This wetland is in Tazawako Sashimaki, Semboku City. Spread out over three hectares along national route 46, it features clusters of white skunk cabbage and Japanese alder. The white skunk cabbage blooms from mid-April through early May, and they hold many events for the Sashimaki Mizubasho Festival during that time.

真冬にたまたま通りかかったので寄ってみました。駐車場は広く、木道もあって、夏に水芭蕉があればいい環境だと思いました。国道沿いにこんな自然があるのはいいですね。

This shrine is located on the mountainside of Mt. Taihei, and is known as the head shrine of all of the Miyoshi shrines throughout the country. Onamuchi-no-kami, Sukunabikona-no-kami and Miyoshi-no-okami are enshrined here, and are said to grant success in one's endeavors. People who seek further success in their endeavors also make their way up to the rear shrine located at the summit of the mountain, as well as people who have come to visit from places far and wide.

This botanical garden is around the area by Lake Tazawa in Semboku City, Akita Prefecture. The herb garden has over 250 kinds of herbs on display, and for a fee, guests can try various crafts, like making their own scent sprays or hand creams with herbs and oils. There is also a restaurant inside the garden with menus geared toward large groups, as well as a lunch buffet. It is popular with families and other tourist groups.

高校野球ですっかり有名になった金足農業高校のそば、小泉潟に囲まれた場所にある博物館、ひっそりとしています。今回は企画展、秋田の石っころを見たくて訪問しました。展示室の中にはいろいろな石が並んでいます。思った以上に秋田の石の種類の豊富さ珍しさを感じることができました。

This local product store is located near the shore of Lake Tazawa. Processed Hinai-dori chicken and Akitabuki products can be purchased here, and in the restaurant, customers can enjoy local dishes such as Kiritanpo. The restaurant also provides group menus. In addition to Japan's famous Akita breed of dog, which is a national natural treasure, there are also tours of Akita's three major chicken brands, Koeyoshi-dori, Hinai-dori and Kinpa-dori. There are also events where Akita puppies welcome visitors.

田沢湖の目の前にある、お土産屋とレストランが一緒になっているお店です。お土産コーナーはとても広く種類もとても豊富でした。お店の裏では、秋田犬と比内鶏が無料で見れる様になっています。秋田犬は人懐っこく、皆んなの人気ものでした。

This Roadside Station is along National Route 105 in Daisen City, Akita Prefecture. At the direct sales center Fresh Vegetables Donban, you can buy fresh picked vegetables daily. The shop and restaurant sell goods made with local specialty Tochucha tea and dishes made with Tochu pork. With a rest room and information center, it's popular with locals and tourists alike.

田沢湖から、レンタカーを借りて昼をいただきました。地元産の野菜や花直販、はちみつ、レストランも有って便利です。地元酒蔵が経営する食堂も、美味しかったです。ついでに、酒蔵に行って見学しました。外国人の職員さんが英語で案内していたのは、びっくりしました。酒蔵見学は、なかなか出来ないので、ラッキーな時間(無料・予約お薦め)でした。

This is a bear-only zoo in Aza-Jinba, Aniutto, Kitaakita City. You can get up close to the brown bears and Asian black bears raised in the park. In addition to feeding and other activities, they have baby bear petting events. Tours are reservation-only from December to March.

2020年の頭に生まれた2匹のこぐま、ひかりとあかりに会いたくて行きました。外遊びの時間が決まっているので、まずはその時間をチェックするのをお勧めします。もー、可愛すぎます。大きなクマたちには、餌を買って投げてあげましょう。ダイレクトキャッチしてくれるクマもいて最高に可愛いです。ツキノワグマより大きいヒグマもたくさんいますよ！

A temple located along Prefectural Route 233 in Izumi-mitakene, Akita city. As the family temple for the Satake Family, feudal lords of the Akita domain, when the family was forced to relocate from Hitachi to Akita the temple also moved to its current location. The main hall and main gate are registered Important Cultural Properties of Japan and the temple grounds are registered as a Prefectural Historic Landmark. *The temple is closed to the public until fall of 2023 due to construction.

This museum is dedicated to the memory of Lieutenant Nobu Shirase, who came from what is now Nikaho City, and who led the first Japanese expedition to reach the Antarctic. Information on Lieutenant Nobu Shirase’s personal background and valuable memorabilia on the Antarctic expedition team are on display in the museum. The Nishinomiya Family were retainers for the Satake clan that moved to Akita at the beginning of the Edo period. This residence, which was built in the most prosperous period for the land owner from the Meiji to Taisho periods, comprises five storehouses and one main building. The main building exhibits old documents and artefacts. Visitors can enjoy tea and sweets in the charming Japanese sweet café. The garden is also beautiful and you can see its different seasonal faces such as the cherry blossoms in the spring and the colorful kaki fruit in the autumn.

角館駅に最も近い武家屋敷が西宮家の建物でもあり、5つの蔵と母屋で構成されている。仙北市総合情報センターの向かいにある建物でわかりやすい。白壁と壁を割るように木が枠を作りとても美しい側壁を成しているのが特徴だ。立ち寄ってみたい武家屋敷。

This sake brewery was founded in 1874. It makes Ryozeki Nihonshu using the famous Chikaramizu water that flows from the Mt. Kurikoma mountain system. A tour of the sake brewery is available with a reservation, and tasting is also possible in the sales corner. In addition, there is a Brewery Tour Commemoratory Sake, which can only be purchased in the brewery, that is also very popular.

This lookout is at Noshiro Green Harbor in Omoriyama, Noshiro City. From a height of 27 meters it offers a view of the Sea of Japan; Kaze-no-Matsubara, the nation's largest pine forest; and the Shirakami-Sanchi, a World Natural Heritage Site. The adjacent Hamanasu Gallery features over 200 murals by local residents on the port's breakwater.

夫婦で立寄りました。無料です。ちょっと寂しいけど、能代の港と海が見えます。間近に風力発電の風車が見えます。螺旋階段で上がります。

A museum dedicated to presenting materials relating to Namahage, traditional ogres which are part of the folk customs of Oga, located a 20 minute drive by car from JR Hadachi Station. The museum building is built with “Kanpu-seki” stone from Oga outside and Akita cedar inside, and various rare and precious materials relating to the folklore of Namahage are presented in the museum’s atmospheric confines. Highlights include the museum’s display of 110 Namahage costumes and 40 Namahage masks actually used in areas throughout the city. The rows of diverse costumes and masks standing together is truly an impressive sight. Visitors can also put on a real Namahage costume themselves and take a commemorative photo.

Kakunodate Satoku Garden stands along Bukeyashiki-dori Street, an area also dubbed the “little Kyoto of Michinoku.” This souvenir shop sells traditional Akita crafts and specialty products. Kakunodate is renowned for its cherry tree blossoms, and has even been selected as one of the 100 best places for cherry blossom viewing in Japan. Accordingly, many of this shop’s products are cherry blossom-themed, and the handkerchiefs dyed with a cherry blossom petal pattern are particularly popular with tourists. Other products on offer include kaba-zaiku cherry bark work goods, mage-wappa circular bento boxes, and cherry blossom-scented aroma candles.
