Ceramics and wooden products are on display in a cozy circular building made of local wood. Their Mori no Chaya restaurant offers the udon-like local delicacy hatto as well as aburafu deep-fried wheat gluten rice bowls. There's a shop in the restaurant selling local vegetables.

    Mitakido is a road station half way along the Sanriku Expressway that opened in 2017. In their sales corner they have an assortment of fresh and safe seasonal ingredients harvested locally, and their zunda soft serve ice cream comes recommended when you want to take a breather. The food court offers an array of choices like a set meal with Sendai steak. There is also a dog run and an event plaza.
