This morning market is a 30-year-old market held only on Sundays and public holidays in Yuriage in Natori city, which has been a fishing port since the Edo period. With their motto “great goods for cheap”, there are a variety of stores including 50 permanent stores that sell local fresh seafood fished from the nearby ocean, local vegetables, and pre-made side dishes. A connecting hearth area allows you to cook and eat your purchases onsite.

Lying along the northeastern coast of Japan, Miyagi prefecture is home to lashings of natural parks, oysters, and hot springs. While the bustling city of Sendai offers some simple city entertainment, it’s the Matsushima islands that deserve the most attention, having boosted the prefecture’s reputation as one of Japan’s most scenic views.
