    This museum is located inside Showa Manyo Forest in Tairabayashi, Ohira, Ohira Village, Kurokawa County. It possesses a collection of 270 works by the painter Kanno , who hails from the village, as well as 150 of his sketches, art supplies, and other materials. In addition to the permanent exhibit of Kanno’s works, the museum also exhibits his personal ffects in a recreation of his studio.

    万葉茶屋というお食事処と駐車場の近くにあるこじんまりとした施設です。普段は有料のようなのですが、1階のみの見学しかできなかったので無料で見学できました。

    An art museum located a 10 minute walk from Hon-Shiogama Station on the JR Senseki Line in Shiogama City which displays artwork by Shiogama painter Jun Sugimura. The Shiogama City Community Center, built in 1950, was remodeled and turned into this art museum, and the facility functions not only as an art gallery but also as a community center which local residents are free to make use of. In addition to a standing exhibition, the museum holds special exhibits of the artist's works based on various themes as well as photo exhibits featuring Shiogama scenery.

    JR塩釜駅から徒歩10分くらいの住宅街の中にある小さな美術館です。 作品は、彫刻の作品が中心でした。また、建物自体が特徴的な形をしたアートになっています。小高い場所にあるため美術館からの眺めも良くお勧めの場所です。
