    A museum located nearby Roadside Station Sanbongi along National Route 4 in MamezakaSanbongi, Osaki City. On display are exhibits regarding Sanbongi Lignite, a well-known high-quality lignite that was actively mined. Visitors can view reproductions of the ancient mines as well as Japan's largest chunk of lignite, weighing in at 10 tons.

    旧・奥州街道をランニングで旅していた際に通りかかりました。道の駅三本木やまなみに併設されています。入り口には往年の名車ミゼット?三輪トラックが展示されています。

    This mountain road extends from Togatta Onsen in Miyagi Prefecture to Botaira Highland in Yamagata Prefecture, running 26 kilometers through the Zao Mountain Range. The road is closed from early November through late April for snow, but when it opens the snowy walls of winter remain, until they give way to the green of summer, then the lovely leaves of Autumn, letting you enjoy the year-round beauty of Zao on your drive.

    This history museum is located Kakuda-machi, Kakuda City. It is situated inside of a mansion built by one of the area’s most prominent landowning families over the course of the Meiji and Taisho periods. The museum’s exhibits include archeological and historical materials pertaining to the region’s history and folk culture. Starting in mid-February each year, the museum exhibits hina dolls believed to have belonged to Muuhime, the second daughter of Date Masamune. She is said to have brought the dolls with her when she married into the Kakuda Ishikawa family.

    大地主さんの家を郷土資料館として無料で公開されています。この地主さんは明治に貿易で財を成し角田でも指折りの地主さんになったみたいです。初代から3代にかけて氏家丈吉を名乗っていたそうです。花がデザインされた陶器のトイレやステンドグラスのある浴室など、当時の生活を垣間見ることができます。

    Founded in 760 as Iozan Kofukuji Temple, it was destroyed repeatedly by fire, with only the Yakushido Hall surviving. It was rebuilt and renamed in 1591. Its principal object of worship is a wooden image of the Yakushi Nyorai, which has been designated an Important Cultural Property. An enormous cedar tree on the grounds is said to be about 1,200 years old and is a Prefectural Natural Monument.

    築館の旧国道4号線沿いの小高い山の上にあります。曹洞宗のお寺で、本尊は薬師如来です。市民からは「お薬師様」とか参道の杉と合わせ、「杉薬師様」と親しまれています。

    This morning market is a 30-year-old market held only on Sundays and public holidays in Yuriage in Natori city, which has been a fishing port since the Edo period. With their motto “great goods for cheap”, there are a variety of stores including 50 permanent stores that sell local fresh seafood fished from the nearby ocean, local vegetables, and pre-made side dishes. A connecting hearth area allows you to cook and eat your purchases onsite.

    "A nine-minute walk from JR Yamashita Station, this strawberry farm is located in Yamamoto Town, Miyagi Prefecture, one of the main strawberry-producing areas in Tohoku. You can eat as much as you like for 30 minutes in a greenhouse full of openness that produces ""MIGAKI-ICHIGO"" strawberries, also called ""gems to eat"". The elevated cultivation allows you to pick strawberries in the standing position, and the large space allows even wheelchair users to participate without difficulty. It also offers a variety of options that go with strawberries, including ""dipping your berries in condensed milk"", and is especially popular with families with children and couples. Strawberry picking is held from January to May; closed on Thursdays and Fridays."

    This strawberry farm is located approximately five minutes from Joban Expressway Torinoumi parking area (smart interchange). Visitors can pick Tochiotome strawberries, which have a nicely matched high sugar content and moderate acidity, from mid-January to early June. JA Miyagiwatari, area is also known as the Shonan of Tohoku that makes the most of its warm climate to cultivate its strawberries. In addition to Tochiotome strawberries, it also cultivates Mouikko strawberries, which are characterized by their large size and juiciness. This farm is proud to produce the largest number of these strawberries in the Tohoku region. The farm has ground-level cultivation, which are easy for children to pick, as well as elevated cultivation, which can be easily picked while standing, so people of all ages, from children to adults, can enjoy harvesting the strawberries.

    いちご狩りができる観光農園です。直売所もあると聞いていましたが、入るとすぐにいちご狩りの受付になっていました。亘理にはJA系と独立系がありますが、こちらはJA系です。あまり商売っけがなくて素朴な感じがしました。

The complex has an exhibition area and the Akiu Electric Railway diorama is a must-see for railway fanatics. The complex is also a popular destination for families with children. There are also exhibits containing Akiu crafts and visitors can find maps of Akiu Town noting hotel and sightseeing spot locations. The complex conducts a craft making class every Sunday and frequently holds many other events as well.

    塩竈神社の境内にある博物館。入口前に鯨の骨と捕鯨砲が展示されています。こちらの博物館には仙台藩の歴代藩主からの奉納太刀が35口保管されていて、いくつか常設展示されています。また、年に数回奉納太刀の特別展が開かれているようです。常設展は入館料200円です。

    This is the Ichinokura Sake Brewery's showroom. It's on Prefectural Route 242 in Matsuyama, Matsuyama Sengoku, Osaki City. It has exhibits featuring antique sake brewing equipment, and materials related to sake's history and brewing process. There are also a picture gallery and an event space, and they hold a variety of planned exhibitions including one featuring the work of the local swordsmith Hokke Saburo in spring and fall. Adjacent is the Jizake-ya-Hana-no-Kura with an eatery and a gift shop selling local specialty items and Ichinokura sake.

    物販・飲食の施設です。一ノ蔵のお酒はもちろん(すず音も)そろっていますが他にも地元のものを購入できます。レストラン(食事処)では食事のほかスイーツもいただけるようです(当日訪問の時間はすでにクローズ)。

    This ravine is along the Natori River in Yumoto, Akiu-machi, Taihaku Ward, Sendai City. It continues for approximately one kilometer, with Akiu Onsen's Nozoki Bridge near the center. Pathways provide access to the ravine's natural scenery, including waterfalls and distinctive rock formations cut by the river rapids adorned with the fresh green leaves of spring or the autumn's colorful foliage.

    This temple is located in 2-chome, Furukawa-mikkamachi, Osaki City. The exact time of its construction is unknown, but it is said to have been the first temple to be constructed in the province. After being destroyed once by a fireof war, it was later restored by Suzuki Izuminokami Motonobu, a vassal of Date Masamune and the lord of Furukawa Castle.

    立派で大きなお寺です。門も立派で、重厚な造りをしていて見ごたえがあります。あまり人はいませんでしたが、地域に密着したお寺という雰囲気です。散策のついでに、参拝してみるといいと思います。

    This blueberry farm is located along National Route 457, in Nanokahara Togattaonsen, Zao, Katta District. The eight farmlands cover a total area of approximately 13. 22 hectares and contain 20,000 blueberry bushes of around 60 varieties. In addition to enjoying blueberry picking from early July to mid-August, visitors can buy jams and juices made with the pesticide-free blueberries. They can also enjoy blueberry sweets and bread at the rest house.

    This hotel is located on Kesennuma's Oshima Island about five minutes by shuttle bus from Uranohama Port. The spacious white-toned lobby-lounge is comfortable, soothing, and exudes a sense of cleanliness. They have a lunch service with lots of gourmet Kesennuma delicacies like abalone and Sendai beef, as well as a large public bath where guests can hear the surf. Both are available to non-staying guests as well. Their shop features an array of items from a long-standing Kesennuma dealer and customers enjoy shopping for items like nori, kombu, and camellia oil. They hold participatory programs as well.

    A history museum located in the Tome-cho neighborhood of Tome City, known as Miyagi Prefecture's Meiji Village due to its many historical buildings. The museum conveys what education was like for a typical Japanese school student from the Meiji to the Taisho periods. The building itself was a real elementary school building in 1888. The school was designed by Kisaburo Yamazoe, the first Japanese person to travel to the west to study architecture. Inside, real desks and chairs from the school's heyday as well as life-sized mannequins show what schooling looked like at the time.

    登米教育資料館は、旧登米高等尋常小学校で、明治の洋風学校を代表する建築物として昭和56年(1981)に重要文化財に指定された非常に貴重な建物です。また、この場所は、連続テレビ小説 おかえりモネ のロケ地 にもなっています。
