    This commercial facility is located in front of Sendai Station, in 4-Chome, Aoba Ward, Sendai City. The store was first opened in 1964, and a new building added in 1972. On the ninth floor and the first basement floor, there are stores such as fashion and miscellaneous goods stores, as well as specialist stores such as bookstores and anime goods stores, as well as stores such as musical instrument stores, event spaces and gardens.

    塩竈神社の境内にある博物館。入口前に鯨の骨と捕鯨砲が展示されています。こちらの博物館には仙台藩の歴代藩主からの奉納太刀が35口保管されていて、いくつか常設展示されています。また、年に数回奉納太刀の特別展が開かれているようです。常設展は入館料200円です。

    This is the Ichinokura Sake Brewery's showroom. It's on Prefectural Route 242 in Matsuyama, Matsuyama Sengoku, Osaki City. It has exhibits featuring antique sake brewing equipment, and materials related to sake's history and brewing process. There are also a picture gallery and an event space, and they hold a variety of planned exhibitions including one featuring the work of the local swordsmith Hokke Saburo in spring and fall. Adjacent is the Jizake-ya-Hana-no-Kura with an eatery and a gift shop selling local specialty items and Ichinokura sake.

    Approximately ten minutes by car from JR Kesennuma Station, Kesennuma Umino-ichi features fine food, shopping, and learning opportunities tied to the sea off Kesennuma. It has the only shark museum in Japan where visitors learn hands-on about shark ecology and the bonds to the sea that nurture the population. Their enormous replica shark is a highlight. They also have ice projection mapping and ice sculpture displays, testifying to the port town's talent for ice art. A large variety of shops provide processed products and fresh seafood landed at Kesennuma and Sanriku area.

    This historic beach located in Shichigahama Town, Miyagi County, Miyagi Prefecture opened in 1888. It has hosted such famous visitors as the poet Kenji Miyazawa, and it gets crowded with people from all over the prefecture every year. They hold various events like a summer festival and a fireworks display in season. Visitors enjoy water sports like surfing and bodyboarding throughout the year. Paid luggage lockers, showers, and parking are available.

The shopping center was renewed in March 2016, introducing new stores, and spaces that take consideration families with children. Including larger diaper changing areas and bright, cute designs. The third floor children’s toilet is based on a candy house to encourage children to want to enter on their own.

    Miyagi Kurokawa-gun Ohiramura Ohira Tairabayashi 39-12
    This museum is located inside Showa Manyo Forest in Tairabayashi, Ohira, Ohira Village, Kurokawa County. It possesses a collection of 270 works by the painter Kanno , who hails from the village, as well as 150 of his sketches, art supplies, and other materials. In addition to the permanent exhibit of Kanno’s works, the museum also exhibits his personal ffects in a recreation of his studio.

    万葉茶屋というお食事処と駐車場の近くにあるこじんまりとした施設です。普段は有料のようなのですが、1階のみの見学しかできなかったので無料で見学できました。

    This park is a popular cherry blossom viewing spot, with over 260 cherry trees on the grounds, and the observatory offers a wonderful view over Matsushima Bay. Legend says that after Saigyohoshi was on his international pilgrimage, an argument he had with a young boy under a pine tree here made him give up on visiting Matsushima.

    "This strawberry farm cultivates Mouikko strawberries, which are Miyagi's original variety of strawberry, so named because of how their large size and refreshing sweetness makes people reach out for ""just one more"". The Mouikko strawberries are cultivated in multiple houses, which focus on elevated cultivation that allows people to harvest them while standing. The direct sale store on the farm sells strawberries from Kouchan Strawberry Farm, as well as local Watari strawberries. Customers can also buy them as souvenirs. Reservations are not necessary, but the farm may be closed when the number of strawberries available for picking decreases, so it is recommended that visitors phone ahead to check the situation."

  • Sanriku Fukko National Park

    This is a national park which was established in May 2013 in order to contribute to the reconstruction of the Sanriku region which was damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake, and preserves the “Miracle Lone Pine Tree” and other remnants of the disaster. Visitors can see nature and geographical features unique to the coastal areas such as a rare sea shore (the Tanesashi Coast) where the “sand squeaks”, colonies of rugose rose and sweat pea etc., and the scenic spot of Ohakozaki Senjojiki representing Kamaishi City. There are some visitor centers and museums in the area, exhibiting materials related to nature, ecosystems and the disaster in each area, providing tourist information and multilingual brochures.

    A 15 minute walk from Abukuma Express Kakuda Station. This facility was built to serve as a symbol of Kakuda City, the location of the JAXA Kakuda Space Center. From the Space Tower observation deck, visitors can see the city and all the way to Zao Mountain Range. The Cosmo House has space-themed exhibits such as a full-sized model of a satellite, a real rocket engine, videos, and more. There's also an actual-sized, 49 meter tall model of the H-II, Japan's first entirely domestically produced rocket. The facility's shop sells space-themed merchandise.

    A 7-minute drive from the Sendai-Miyagi interchange on the Tohoku Expressway. This heated pool facility makes use of heat generated by the Kuzuoka garbage incineration plant. Facilities include a popular 22 meter long waterslide as well as a 25 meter pool, 0.5 meter deep toddler pool, and jacuzzi. There are also a wide variety of programs on offer, such as swimming classes for all kinds of purposes, swimming abilities, and ages from children to adults; aquarobics; and classes for improving knee pain, lower back pain, and stiff shoulders. In addition, there's a training room with running machines and other aerobic equipment.
  • Taga Castle Ruins Iris Garden

    A five minute walk from Kokufu-Tagajo Station. This iris garden, located at the site of the Taga Castle Ruins, one of Japan's top three historic ruins, contains some three million iris plants inside its 21 thousand square meter grounds. Spanning 800 varieties, in addition to regular irises, visitors can view Japanese irises and rabbitear irises. The Taga Castle Ruins Iris Festival is held here from mid- to late June, and during this time a variety of events are held such as contests and food fairs on weekends, flower pressing classes and iris-themed haiku poetry meets. In addition, for just two days during the festival, the garden is lit up at night.
  • Ogameyama Forest Park

    A leisure spot and symbol of the city, this park is situated on the western side of Tomiya City. The park has an 800 meter long outdoor obstacle course whose 17 obstacles whose names are derived from local locations. The Kamekamekan park building can be used as a place to take a break; when you're inside, look up and you'll see the roof is in the shape of a hexagon. Climb the 138 steps of the park's observatory and you can enjoy a panoramic, 360 degree view of the area from 138 meters above sea level. A place filled with things for families with children to have fun together, other facilities include a campground and children's sledding slope in winter.
