    This roadside station is located along National Route 45 in the Sanriku-cho area of Ofunato City, Iwate Prefecture. Various seasonal seafood such as abalone from Sanriku-cho is sold here. In addition to the fresh fish corner, Persimmon ice cream using the Sanriku specialty, Koeda persimmon, is also popular. With facilities such as a resting area, it is widely used as a place to socialize by both local residents and tourists.

    This is a local food and souvenir shop on Sanriku road. I visited here every time when I come to Ofunato. I tasted the softcream everytime, althought the temperature was under 1 degree.

    宮古ー盛岡移動の休憩場所となる道の駅。特急バスの休憩所にもなる。道の駅としてはごく一般的。地元の農産物を購入できる。

    This roadside station is located in the town of Iwaizumi in Shimohei County, Iwate Prefecture. It uses the site of the Mitakai branch school of Iwaizumi Town Kado Elementary School, and is characterized by being built with the remains of the school. In addition to snacks such as grilled rice balls and croquettes, there is a co-op that sells local farm products and processed goods and a school lunchroom where you can eat, making it a place where you can get a sense of nostalgia.

    廃校を活用した、道の駅。木の椅子、机の上で、昔なつかしの給食(日替わりで、イカリングや紙パックの牛乳など)や揚げパンを楽しむことができる。少しばかり童心にかえる時間が持てます。

    久慈駅から徒歩10分ほどのところにある道の駅。お土産などの販売以外に観光交流センターも併設されています。久慈祭の巨大な山車が展示されています。

    This roadside station is in the town of Yamada in Shimohei County, Iwate Prefecture. It sells special products from the Sanriku area, processed goods using marine products and shiitake mushrooms, and souvenirs. In addition, there are snacks such as frankfurters and French fries and also ramen, udon and soba noodles in the cafeteria, making it a spot to take a rest and eat.

    宮古から釜石に行く時国道沿いにあります。高速道路を通るとここには行かれません。近くに、牡蠣小屋や、鯨館などもあります。

    陸中野田駅の駅舎と一体化した道の駅。土産物店、地域で収穫された農産物の販売所、レストランなどが入っている。野田村では昔から直煮製塩という方法で塩が作られているということで、製塩作業を表現したジオラマやパネル説明があり、その塩を使った商品も販売している。中でもオススメは「のだ塩ソフトクリーム」。ほのかに塩味が効いており、汗をかく夏にはピッタリの味わいである。

In the restaurant Beef Village Kuzakai that features a yellow and white appearance, you can get a taste of dishes including Miso Katsudon (pork cutlet rice bowl with thick miso bean sauce) and homemade soba buckwheat noodles. The facility is used not only by tourists but many local residents.

    お店の人になぜビーフビレッジなのかきくと昔短角牛の郷だったらしく今はほとんど飼ってないらしいがそのまま残っているらしい。そのためレストランメニューも何品か牛肉料理が残してあるとのこと。盛岡から宮古に抜ける道の最初の道の駅。この周辺には店らしきものはないので休憩場所として利用価値あり。
