    A shopping complex located a short walk from Kamaishi Station on the Kamaishi Line in Kamaishi City, Iwate Prefecture. Here you'll find shops like Shichibeya Shoten and Azumasengyo-ten which sell dark sleeper, salmon from Sanriku Kamaishi, and other fresh seafood as well as foods like dried fish and pickled fish. There are also numerous restaurants serving Kamaishi ramen, and rice bowls piled high with tasty seafood treats like ikura salted salmon roe and sea urchin. The facility is also connected by skyway to Sea Plaza Kamaishi on the other side of the road, making this a convenient place to pick up all kinds of gifts and souvenirs.

    海鮮が並んだ市場で、その場でBBQができるようです。生うにパック・ホヤパックが並んでいますが、生ものなので持ち帰れず残念でした。

The Iwate Nanbu Soba, made with 100% ingredients produced on farms in Iwate, is a long-lasting product that makes a great souvenir. It also sells local Kamaishi sake such as All Iwate Sake, which is a refined sake made with 100% ingredients from Iwate, and Hamachidori junmai ginjoshu, Ginginga.

    This store produces and sells Kamaishi's famous Kaiho-zuke. It is located approximately a four-minute walk from JR Kamaishi Station. Sanriku Kaiho-zuke is a best-selling productmade with a blend of Sanriku mekabu (wakame seaweed root) pickled in a secret sauce, Sanriku abalone, and salmon roe atop, which has been boiled using a unique damashi-ni technique to make ittender. The rich and full flavor is perfect to go with white rice. The store also sells other seafood products, such as Hotate ougon-zuke, which is soy marinated mekabu with salmon roe steeped in sake, as well as Hotate herring roe ougon-zuke.

Established in 1909, it is also known locally as “Hattoya.” The most popular product is their “Dattan Soba Tea,” full of Rutin and made from 100% domestic ingredients mainly from Iwate Prefecture. Their “Dattan Soba” using only domestic buckwheat flour cultivated by local contract farmers is also recommended.

There is also a corner for fried foods lined with freshly prepared side dishes, and you can also enjoy local flavors such as “tofu dengaku” with garlic miso and “kushi mochi” with walnut miso in chewy mochi rice cakes. The dumplings filled with sweet paste using acorns that have been carefully removed of their toxins are their most popular item.
