- The Tachineputa Museum which stores and exhibits Tachineputa (standing floats) that are used in the Tachineputa Matsuri festival is also a place where visitors can see the creation process of the floats and have a go at traditional local Tsugaru crafts. Visitors can enjoy dining in the observation lounge, Harunire, overlooking the Tsugaru Basin, and enjoy taking a break at the open cafe, Plum. Various events such as the Goshogawara Nebuta music practice also take place here. The museum is located approximately 15 minutes from Goshowara Interchange on the Tsugaru Expressway.

- Shayokan stands along Prefectural Route 2 in Asahiyama, Kanagi Town, Goshogawara City. The building, a stately wood residence built in 1907 before Osamu Dazai was born, is now a designated National Important Cultural Property. The museum makes use of the residence storehouse as an exhibition space, display some of Dazai’s favorite personal goods, manuscripts, letters, and his first edition books.

本州の果て竜飛岬にある青函トンネルに関するミュージアムです。一般の展示も青函トンネルの難工事ぶりが伝わってきて良いのですが、体験坑道はさらに良いです。ケーブルカーで地底に降りていく感覚は非日常的で非常に良かったですね。

- This scenic railway in Okutsugaru is famous for its stove trains. The section from Goshogawara to Kanagi opened in 1930, and the entire line (20.7 kilometers) opened in November of the same year. Then, stove trains began running that December in the winter. The stove trains are in operation from December 1st to March 31st. During other periods, there are also wind chime and bell cricket trains.

- A magical Shinto shrine dedicated to large harvests, maritime safety, and business prosperity which has attracted worshipers since ancient times. In addition to locals, people from far and wide come to visit the shrine. The shrine has a beautiful Japanese garden in which seasonal flowers bloom. The shrine's 1,000 torii, countless red torii gates arranged one after another to form a tunnel, gives the shrine a mystical atmosphere.

- The house that Osamu Dazai evacuated to was built in 1922, and was originally a building on the grounds of his family home, and was opened as a private museum in 2007. As he wrote 23 of his works here visitors can almost feel his presence. It is a three minute walk from “Kanagi Station” on the Tsugaru Railway Line.

- Tappizaki Cape is located in the extreme north of the Tsugaru Peninsula—it is a cape which juts out into the Tsugaru Strait. “Tappizaki Lighthouse” located on this cape was also selected as one of the 50 Best Lighthouses in Japan. An esplanade is maintained in the environs of the cape, and when the climate is good, you can command a view of Tsugaru Strait and also of Matsumae Peninsula in Hokkaido. There are monuments such as the “literary monument of Osamu Dazai” which has a sentence from “Tsugaru” by Osamu Dazai carved on it, and there is also the song monument of “Tsugaru Kaikyo Fuyu-geshiki” (Waterscape of the Tsugaru Straits) sang by Sayuri Ishikawa.

- A roadside station located in Minmaya, a village deeply connected to legends relating to the mighty samurai Minamoto no Yoshitsune and where one can still find many intriguing traces linking to Yoshitsune throughout the village. The station is adjoined by the Seikan Tunnel Museum and a facility presenting the science of the Tappi Wind Park. The station has a shop selling local products and produce, the well-reviewed Ajisai restaurant serving seafood and other dishes. The shop's Minmaya Kombu kelp and Minmaya Wakame seaweed, grown in the tidal currents of the Tsugaru Strait, are particularly popular.

- This roadside station is connected to Tsugaru-Futamata Station on the Tsugaru Line, right next to Okutsugaru-Imabetsu Station on the Hokkaido Shinkansen. Along with tourism information about Imabetsu Town, there is an introduction of the town, a Tsugaru peninsula exhibition corner, a market where local produce is sold, and restaurants. We recommend Mozuku Udon, which uses Imabetsu's specialty mozuku seaweed. We would also recommend the steak and yakiniku using Imabetsu-raised beef. You can also try the menu made with meat from the Okutsugaru Boar Farm.

- A restaurant and souvenir shop which provides sightseeing information on the Kanagi Town area, sells local specialty products, and serves regional cuisine. Kanagi Town is also the hometown of renowned author Osamu Dazai, and events relating to the writer are also held here. In the Hana restaurant inside the specialty products hall, you can enjoy a rice bowl, a favorite of Dazai's.

- This museum exhibits artifacts excavated from the Kamegaoka site as well as those from other sites within the city and prefecture. At a reconstructed pit dwelling, dolls crafted to look just like people from the Jomon period (14,000-300 BC) recreate life as it was during the time, and even speak to visitors in their ancient language. A replica of the goggle-eyed dogu clay figurine on display at the Tokyo National Museum is currently being exhibited.

つがる市の縄文遺跡「亀ヶ岡遺跡」の資料館です。今風の展示の仕方ではなく、少し古いタイプの展示の仕方という印象ですが、展示品は見応えがあります。アクセスは少し分かりづらい道を進むため、ちょっと不安になりました。

- This is another area of sacred ground on the Tsugaru Peninsula besides Mt. Osore, and is located in Kanagi-machi, Goshogawara City. The over 2,000 statues of Ksitigarbha create a unique atmosphere. A large festival is held every year from June 22th to June 24th of the old calendar, during which mediums channel spirits as they do on Mt. Osore.

- Lake Jusanko has been designated a National Historic Site and is also said to produce the most delicious Japanese basket clams in the country. This roadside station, located on the grounds of a highland farm on the shore of the lake, is a scenic and soothing space; the station's terrace has a sweeping view of Lake Jusanko and a park on the station's grounds called Mobayashi Park is outfitted with a forest walking path. You can also buy souvenirs and farm-fresh products here as well.

- This cultural property is representative of Goshogawara City. The building was designated as an important cultural property in 1978. It is notable for its practically unaltered use of the scale and style of the upper class farm houses of the Tsugaru region, the fact that the rear bedrooms are separated, and the use of double joist beams and unique walls since it was reconstructed following an earthquake. It is an important artifact and one of only a small number of structures within the prefecture that can be definitively dated.

五能線五所川原駅から歩いて半時間、バスの五所川原営業所から歩いて十分という表示です。交通は不便な場所ですが、それだけに穴場と言えそうで宇。母屋の建坪だけで百十坪もあります。広い屋敷と、豪華な調度に目を奪われます。
