    An information office located at the entrance to the Shirakami Forest Walking Trail in Yagurayama Fukayamachi, Ajigasawa Town. As well as being the start point for the mountain paths and guided walks Kuromori-Kan also has photo displays on wild birds and plants in the area. It’s a convenient place to take a rest however meals are not provided here.

    Sakura House is a souvenir shop inside Hirosaki City Tourism Museum in a corner of Otemon Square next to Hirosaki Park. The shop sells such things as products made from apples, specialty products like Tsugaru confections, and traditional handicrafts like Tsugaru ceramics, etc. They also sell apples from October through to June.

    Miroku Yokocho is a food stall, (or “yatai” in Japanese) village located between Mikka Town and Muika Town in Hachinohe City. The village is packed full of food stalls selling all sorts of food such as local cuisine, seafood, meat, oden, skewer grilled food, ramen, and western-style food. Miroku Yokocho gets its name from the fact that it runs through Mikka Town (“mi” meaning “three”) and Muika Town (“mui”, or “roku”, meaning “6”).

    Shinshuya is a souvenir shop and restaurant in Okuse Towadakohan Yasumiya, Towada City. The shop sells not only specialty products from Aomori but also from Iwate and Akita too. In the restaurant on the second floor with sweeping views over Lake Towada, guests can enjoy such delights as Towada beef steak, kokanee salmon, and Hinai-jidori chicken.

    もう10年も前になる。今回も湖畔の食堂で遅い昼食を摂った。2階から湖畔を眺めながらの食事ではあった。「B級グルメ」として名を馳せた物らしいが「Bの4乗級」の食べ物であった。(タマネギは美味しかった。)この「ばら焼き」タマネギばかりが,やけに目立つ。妻はきりたんぽの鍋をオーダーしていた。1階でお土産を物色し,車を駐めたまま「乙女の像」に向かう。

    This island of about 1.8 hectares is famous as a black-tailed gull breeding ground. This is the only place to see black-tailed gulls building nests in Japan, and it allows up-close sights of chicks as well. The island was designated a National Natural Monument in 1922. From 1942 to 43, the former Imperial Navy worked to connect the island to the mainland. During the nesting season in mid-March every year, several tens of thousands of gulls come from the south, covering the island completely.

Visitors can try out the fresh sweets with matcha or sencha green tea in the tearoom.

There are many items here, including tableware, lamps, interior goods, and acclaimed items which have won Good Design awards, as well as goods made in collaboration with other brands.

    This is an area in Aomori Prefecture hosting 33 temples of the Soto school of Zen Buddhism. The second lord of the Hirosaki Domain, Tsugaru Nobuhira, ordered temples to gather along the southwestern side of the Hirosaki Castle precincts in 1610. As these temples of the same school sprouted up like a forest along the tree lined road, it created a temple town unlike any other in Japan.

    This is a ramen shop on the Showadori Shopping Street. It serves ramen with many different toppings including pickled plums, natto (fermented soy beans) and hot ramen with a spicy topping. One of the flagship items on the menu is the miso curry milk ramen, famed as a B-class gourmet (reasonable and delicious) dish in Aomori.

    My 1st time trying out curry noodles. Nice to have a warm and spicy noodles. Price from 750yen. Very reasonable.

    Nishimura is a local cuisine restaurant situated within the Aomori Tourist Information Center, ASPAM. Every day fresh food is prepared by master chefs using carefully selected seasonal ingredients to produce local cuisine which has been passed down for more than 30 years. Here guests can enjoy local sake and local dishes like grilled scallops with miso, and kenoshiru soup, as well as local seafood favorites and rice bowl set meals.     Chez Ange serves authentic French cuisine using carefully selected ingredients such as Japanese Wagyu beef, seafood from the prefecture, and highland vegetables from the south of Hakkoda. There are six different courses available for lunch. Advanced booking at least one day prior is required for dinner which consists of a course meal. There is also a cafe, Patisserie Ange, which serves pasta and sweets.

    有名店なのか、かなり地元じゃない旅行者が利用していた。アジア系の観光客もいた。なので、少し騒がしかったが、料理の味は大変満足。

    こちらで きりたんぽ鍋 と バラ焼き どちらも食べれる と検索してから行きましたが 残念ながら ツアーのお客様できりたんぽ鍋は売り切れ との事 なので ニジマス焼き定食を注文 どちらにもニジマスの刺身がついておりましたが これが臭みはなく甘くとても美味しかった バラ焼きも甘口のたれに たっぷりの玉ねぎが良かった あとは働いている皆様が元気な声と笑顔! 暖かな気持ちになれました

    This is a hiking trail close to the Shirakami-Sanchi World Heritage site, and offers of vegetation and beech forests similar to the heritage. There are two well-maintained hiking courses, the 2.2 kilometer outside course and 1.1 kilometer inside course. There are stations where you can try listening to the beech trees with stethoscopes, and other sights and activities along the trails. The trails are closed from late October to early April due to snow.
