This tourism farm emphasizes hands-on experiences, including a wild flower garden with many irises as well as peonies, lupins, and other seasonal flowers. There are also rabbit hutches, a water mill, and more that is sure to entertain visitors regardless of age or gender. The thatch-roofed “Risoutei” house is the facility’s symbol and was built in the early Showa period. You can enjoy “handmade water mill soba” made with soba flour processed at the water mill, a “wappa chicken rice set,” and more as well.

Aomori Main Areas

Centuries-old stories of samurai at Kakunodate and the remains of millennia-old archaeological sites including the likes of Isedotai invite history buffs to delve into Aomori’s fascinating history. As the most northern prefecture on the Japanese mainland, Aomori enjoys a cooler climate, which makes it a welcome escape from the southern cities for combining castles, art galleries, and summer festivals with the great outdoors.
