    A roadside station standing along National Route 337 connecting the cities of Chitose and Otaru. The Chitose River flows through the grounds and when in season you can see salmon swimming upstream here. The rest area has a large children's space and many families with children stop by here. The Chitose Aquarium, one of the largest freshwater fish aquariums in Japan, adjoins the station, and here you can see salmon as well as freshwater fish from around the world. A fish wheel on the river is used to catch salmon and you can observe the salmon fishing process.

    The SKY MUSEUM is situated on the Third Floor of the Domestic Terminal Building at New Chitose Airport. There is a Work Experience Corner where visitors can try on a pilot’s or flight attendant’s uniform, flight simulators, etc., and also a Kids’ Corner for children. The SKY MUSEUM also has an observation deck where visitors can get a close-up view of planes landing and taking off, which is well worth a look. A wide range of unique airport-themed goods and local specialties are available for sale. The SKY MUSEUM is a place that both adults and children will enjoy!

    Snowmiku is a version of the popular character Hatsune Miku serving as a mascot for Hokkaido in winter. This official Snowmiku shop is located on the fourth floor of the New Chitose Airport terminal building. Here you'll find key chains, badges, and other merchandise featuring Snowmiku sold nowhere else. In the adjoining museum space, you'll find a life-sized statue of Snowmiku and cute illustrations. There's also an adjoining cafe space and 360 degree screen where you can experience the natural wilderness of Hokkaido right in the airport.
