This is a shop in the middle of the Asahiyama Zoo in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, located in front of the seal enclosure. The shop sells a large variety of animal themed goods such as stuffed animals, accessories and souvenir sweets. A popular item is the confectionary “Kibana” which is sold in original packaging limited to this shop. There are also many other limited items easy to recognize with their yellow tags. In the free rest house connected to the shop there is also a corner where you can purchase Asahiyama ramen noodles and pancakes.

This historic local sake brewery founded in 1899 is known for “Kokushimuso”, a tasteful, dry sake. Visitors are welcome to view the brewery for free. In winter, you can see Ichiya Shizuku or “drip overnight”, describing the way the rice is pressed in an igloo to make the well-known Daiginjo, a top quality variety of sake and you can also see inside the ice dome. Factory inspections require reservations up to three days in advance. During the summer the Sangokura Hall is lent to the local residents for free, and various events, concerts and exhibitions are held.

This is a vendor of the long-standing confectionary maker “Tsuboya Flagship Store” from the north, famous for its “Kibana” white chocolate sandwich. It is located in Chuwa, Asahikawa City, Hokkaido Prefecture. On the first floor, there are a huge variety of Japanese and Western sweets made from ingredients sourced from Hokkaido and the store’s own farms. The store is a popular place for people to buy souvenirs and gifts to bring home. In the café on the second floor, customers can enjoy items such as Shiratama-zenzai and cake sets, or they can also choose to eat sweets bought on the first floor.

A shop assembling a collection of select craft goods created in Asahikawa, a city long known for its woodworking. The shop primarily carries three types of products. First, there's the shop's inventory of warm wooden crafts, such as the Kami Glass series of wood products created by shaving away wood until it is practically as thin as paper. Then there's the shop's selection of local sakes, including recommended products by the Oyuki no Kura, Otokoyama Shuzo, and Takasago Shuzo breweries. Finally, there's handmade ceramics by studios based in Asahikawa such as Kitamadogama and Soko. All of the shop's goods make great Asahikawa souvenirs.

The Asahiyama Zoo's official shop. The shop carries a wide variety of official merchandise. In addition to animal books and other merchandise, the shop stocks more unique selections, like a commemorative book celebrating the zoo's 50th anniversary and an animal journal which you can complete by pasting your own photos from the zoo in it. There are capsule toy vending machines in the store which sell Capsule Zoo animal figures created by the renowned figurine company Kaiyodo. The shop's exquisite polar bear, spotted seal, and penguin stuffed animals are particularly popular with children.

A cafe area inside the Kibana no Mori confectionary workshop operated by Tsuboya, a Hokkaido confectionary company. You can enjoy sweets fresh from the workshop in this open and friendly cafe accented by warm woods. Some of the menu items are only served here, such as the dessert plate and Mori no Kinu soft serve ice cream made with silk powder and fresh milk from Creamery Gnome. The cafe also serves light meals musing local ingredients like the northern vegetable curry and quiche.

In the bistro area you can enjoy French cuisine such as red wine stews and lamb.

A ramen restaurant located in Yonjo Dori, Asahikawa City. Founded in 1952, Tenkin serves traditional Asahikawa ramen in bright, spacious restaurant. Featured in the media, Tenkin is popular with regulars and tourists alike. The ramen broth is a pork bone base with added soy sauce. As is characteristic of Asahikawa ramen, the surface of the soup broth is covered with lard, and Tenkin uses al dente crimped noodles, which hold on to this flavorful broth better. People love the restaurant's delicious ramen, which never grows old no matter how many times you eat it, a fact Tenkin takes particular pride in.

We had some delicious miso butter corn ramen and some gyoza. The staff was friendly and the food came quickly. When we left there was a line at the door waiting to come in.

A store and light meal stand operated by the local Taniguchi Farm close to the west gate of the Asahiyama Zoo in Hokkaido. The farm makes its own products in its own factory using crop grown with a proprietary fertilizer, and visitors to this establishment can enjoy the farm's food on-site or purchase them to take home as souvenirs. The most popular light meal on the menu is the Asahikawa shoyu (soy sauce) ramen, made with noodles made from the farm's rice. The tomato curry, made with tomatoes grown on the farm, has a rich flavor that isn't very sour, ensuring that even children who hate tomatoes will enjoy it. The shop also sells exclusive giraffe and hippopotamus-themed goods for souvenirs. The stand is only open in summer.

ソフトクリーム350円、ミニソフト220円。牛乳の味が感じられるさわやかな甘さで本当に美味しかったです。暑かった日でしたが、さっぱりしているので食べた後も喉が乾くことなく涼しくなりました。
