- Come easily enjoy motorboating in the crystal-clear Lake Toya, located within the Shikotsu-Toya National Park. Their motorboats, the Stealth 3M, can be used without a license, and are known for easily allowing their users to go tripping across the lake. Large groups can also reserve motorboats and depending on chosen course you can land on Benten Island, Kannon Island, or Oshima Island. The goddess Benzaiten on Benten Island is said to answer prayers regarding to matchmaking.

- This is the glass artist, Mr. Daisuke Takatomi’s Studio, Gallery & Café. It is located in the Toyako, Tsukiura district, the setting for the movie “Shiawase no Pan”, and has a nature filled space overlooking Lake Toyako. There are many varieties of practical glassware and some items that are not practical at all. It is a great place for making holiday memories as visitors can also experience glass blowing and glass sculpturing.

ロイズや白い恋人、じゃがポックルなど、北海道の定番土産は一通り揃っています。名物「あげいも」が全国的にも有名で美味しそうな匂いを漂わせていましたが、還暦過ぎのオヤジにはちょっと重いので自制しました。

５／３に訪れました。道の駅としてはごく普通だと思います、ただ１点を除けば。ここの特徴は、その名のとおり花だけを扱っている建物が１棟あるところでしょう。しかも結構な大きさで。花の苗を買っていくお客さんが結構いました。

こぢんまりとした道の駅で、売店では野菜や米、酪農品などもありますが品数は少なめ。レストランのメニューはうどんがメインのラインナップですが、カレー、丼物、定食もあります。200円のホタテ汁が人気のようでした。ホタテと鶏のうどん(800円)は優しい味でした。

湧き出している羊蹄の湧水を汲みに来る人が多いです。ゴールデンウィークにいったためか、道の駅の駐車場は満車状態でしたが、少し離れたところにある別の駐車場は比較的空いており、湧水には道の駅の駐車場より近いです。

５／５に桜を目当てに訪問。善光寺一帯が自然公園になっているものと思ってナビを設定したのですが、善光寺と自然公園は、山というか丘を挟んでの裏表の関係で駐車場も別々です。善光寺からだと裏山を上ること１０分程度で自然公園に出ることができます。お寺自体に見るべきものはまったくありません。

よく見ると「郷の駅」なのですが、施設的にも立地も道の駅と同じ。確かに地場産品が多く売られていたような印象です。北海道ドライブで、後方羊蹄山から支笏湖に行く途中にありました。

ニセコ方面に向かう国道沿いにあります。 道の駅というよりは商店のようなたたずまいでかなり小規模です。 販売されてるのは地元の山菜加工品ぐらいで農産物らしきものは見かけませんでした。 ここのオーナーの趣味なのかアメリカンな看板や小物系が販売されてるコーナーがありこれが一番興味深かったです。 麺類が食べられる食事コーナーがありましたがテーブル席が１つだけであとは全て座敷なのが残念なところ。 胡坐が苦手...

こちらは、倶知安町の旭ヶ丘総合公園入り口右手にある、大きな三角屋根の酒蔵さんです。 建物に入ると積極的にお酒を売っているという雰囲気ではありません。 愛想のいいおばちゃんが出てきて、試飲・いろいろと説明していただけ、ほぼ札幌で販売されていお酒が沢山あり楽しめました。
