    Approximately a five-minute walk from Kitajunijo Station on the subway Namboku Line, this popular site for yellow leaves is located on Kita-Jusanjo Street inside Hokkaido University. There are 70 ginkgo trees that line both ends of the street that stretches for around 380 meters from east to west, and they are dyed a brilliant yellow from late October to the beginning of November. Because many tourists visit during this time, there are times when the street is closed to vehicular traffic to ensure safety. The Hokkaido University Golden-leaf Festival is held on the last weekend of October, and besides stalls, the street is illuminated from six to nine in the evening.

    The observatory boasts a height of 160 meters above the ground. The special elevator from the sixth floor takes you up directly to the top 38th floor and from there you have a large panoramic view of 360 degrees of the cityscape of Sapporo. Art work is scattered around the observation deck and there is also a café and souvenir shop. Please stop by the men’s toilet “viewing restroom” for a feeling of spaciousness.

    Sapporo Shiryokan is located to the west of Odori Park, and at the time when the building was constructed in 1926 was used as the Sapporo Court of Appeals (now the Sapporo High Court.) Made from valuable Sapporo soft stone, it has also been designated as a National Registered Tangible Cultural Property. In addition to exhibition rooms on the city’s history and the criminal court, the building also contains galleries that can be enjoyed by city residents such as the memorial hall for Sapporo-born manga artist and painter Hiroshi Ooba.

You can easily learn the steps taken by the Japanese dairy farming in chronological order. If you make a reservation, you can tour the factory and get a taste of dairy products. At Katsugen Shrine, created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the long hit product ""Katsugen,"" you can pray for success or to pass exams."

    This souvenir shop is in APIA, the general commercial facility connected to Sapporo Station. It faces the Joyful Walk on the first basement floor, and the shop is full of Hokkaido treats and folk crafts. They have a wide variety of Hokkaido standards, including Shiroi Koibito cookies, Royce' Chocolate, Jaga Pokkle, Shiroi Baum, so it's perfect to stop by for a souvenir. It's packed with Hokkaido products and dairy goods, and they're willing to ship all over Japan. They also sell soft-serve ice cream made with loads of Hokkaido milk.

    "This statue is in Odori Park, in the heart of Sapporo. It was made to represent children playing. It was designed by world-famous sculptor Isam Noguchi. Its location is perfect, located between Nishi 8-Chome and Nishi 9-Chome, and is accessible from all four directions. It's not only respected as a work of art for its gentle curves, it's also a fun slide! The artist said, ""This piece will be completed by the children's behinds,"" so don't stay away like it's precious art, but climb on and play!"
  • Honjin Tanuki-daimyo Jinja Shrine

    This shrine was built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade, one of the oldest shopping streets in Hokkaido. It was originally at Tanukikoji 4-Chome, but now can be found watching over the visitors to WINS Sapporo B Building. The shrine venerates a Tanuki Jizo statue, which offers eight different blessing depending on where it is touched, and so is affectionately known as Tanuki Shrine. Several events take place in front of Tanuki Daimyo Shrine throughout the year, for example the Hatsu Tanuki Matsuri festival on January 2nd, or the Tanuki Hattoku Reitai Matsuri in August.

    This Ferris Wheel is on the roof of nORBESA, a commercial complex. It stands 78 meters tall, and is Hokkaido's first rooftop Ferris wheel. It offers a wide view of Susukino, and a full ride takes 10 minutes.

    "This art park in Moerenuma Park was created as a base for the ""Circular Greenbelt Concept"", intended to encircle the City of Sapporo with parks and greenery. The park was created on the design of Isamu Noguchi, a world-renowned sculptor, based on the concept of ""the whole being a single sculpture"". There are about 1,900 cherry trees, mostly sargent cherries, and the park is a popular spot for cherry blossoms in Sapporo in the spring. There are seven playground equipment areas hidden in the cherry blossoms, and all of them are designed by Isamu Noguchi."

    This water playground in Moerenuma Park was designed by Isamu Noguchi, a world-famous sculptor. The park, 2000 square meters in size, is created on an image of the seaside. Enjoy a relaxing stroll on the promenade centered around the gently sloping bowl-shaped site. Many people put up beach tents and relax. The water that springs from the center of the pond creates a beautiful rippling effect and extends to the edge paved with coral. Even the deepest part at the center is only 45-centimeters deep, so small children are able to play safely.

    The information center at Hokkaido University, the size of about 38 Tokyo Domes, is a popular sightseeing spot. It is a glass-enclosed building just inside the main gate with is a counter in the facility that provides campus events, tourist information, and gives out campus guide maps. In the “Elm no Mori Shop” you can buy Hokkaido University collectibles and enjoy coffee and snacks at the café. The nearest is Sapporo Station.
  • Sapporo Agricultural College Farm No. 2

    Established in 1877, this is actually the site of the Sapporo Agricultural College (present Hokkaido University) which was conceived by its first Vice-Principal Dr. W. S. Clark, as an agricultural farm for training. One can see at a glance that the structures of the livestock stalls and the grain silos are built for stock raising, in the style of balloon frame architecture, commonly seen in the Midwest U.S.A. during this period. In addition to the fresh grain storage silo built in 1912, said to be the oldest in Hokkaido, there are valuable items on display such as horse-powered machinery imported from the U.S. during the early Meiji period.

As eco-friendly vehicles that do not emit carbon dioxide, operation begin in Sapporo City, Hokkaido by the NPO Eco Mobility Sapporo in April 2008. You can use them to enjoy an amazing time relaxingly going about nature-filled tourist areas and the city of Sapporo. The maximum capacity is two adults and one child. In addition to the predefined operating area, it is also possible to travel to specific locations or rent them for short periods of time.

    It is located about five minutes from Nakajima Koen Station in a Western-style hotel that was completed in August 1881 by the Hokkaido Colonization Bureau. The building is an American-style wooden two-story building with a basement, and the roof has eight chimneys. It is very impressive with white outside walls and vivid ultramarine blue window frames. You can see five-pointed stars decorating the front center and gables on the left and right wings, beautiful Japanese-style ceiling decorations made with traditional techniques, fireplace mantelpieces finished with plaster and other amazing plaster work from the time it was built. There is a cafe corner which was formerly a dining hall on the first floor where you can spend a grand time.
